Progress Reports and Accomplishments

Nice job to everyone! :) Man, it's too bad we all don't live in the same general area. It would be pretty cool to meet and play with all of you.

Lately i've really been striving towards AAAing a few 6-7fters. I've gotten Last Message down to 7 greats, Sky High was also SDG's as well. I dunno about My Summer Love...i've been messing up alot, but i'll try again sometime. I dunno how some of these guys can AA and AAA stuff like Xenon, and Twilight Zone, and So Deep...(although i'm getting MUCH better at PAing gallops) Max300 i can understand, because it's alot of 8th note runs. with very few exceptions.

One major accomplishment from me though was that i almost full comboed Paranoia Survivor Heavy. I mean i got 1 Good, 1 Boo, and 2 Misses. 100 something greats, and the rest are perfects. PS is easily becoming my favorite 10 right now...maybe i'll AA sometime... *** Edited 3/20/2004 11:59:37 PM UTC by Kel***

A couple other stuff from me:

2 greats on a few 7fters i forgot what they were. 4 greats on Air, and 4 on Do you remember me *is shocked about that one* and 20 onTsugaru i think, either that one or Cant' stop falling in Love.

I got really close to passing Paranoia Survivor the other day. I think I was about halfway through the end run when I failed. I also full-comboed Dynamite Rave when I got it on Nonstop, but I don't know if I AA'ed it. Don't you hate it when that happens? It's happened to me at least 3 times with other 9-footers.

Also, I was trying Breakdown last night and was about 3/4 of the way through with a 60% full bar when I realized I'd better quit before I had a heart attack. My stomach had been hurting and I had been playing football for two hours with my friends, so I think that song will soon be done by me.

It's ok, PD. I used to be that way also. I would get this cramp sometimes because stupid Kel would DDR right after he ate. >_> It doesn't happen anymore.

Tomorrow night is free DDR at Cal Poly Pomona for 2 hours...10-12. You know i'm going. I mean c'mon...it's free DDR. Maybe i'll get a heavy AAA for the first time.

I got insanely jealous earlier tonight. This guy I somewhat know A'd The Legend of Max on doubles heavy. That along with a few other songs made me want to bust out an A on Sakura, an A on So Deep, and an A on Telephone Operator. That was after he left, of course, lol.

He is hopefully going to be a judge for Freestyle Revolution, but that hasn't been decided yet.

I'm getting closer and closer to finishing Tsugaru, which is not easy. I've been practicing Freckles more so that the gallops across the stage don't seem that bad. Started working on Paranoia Survivor again, but I'm going to need some help on that song soon.

Spent a few hours at the arcade yesterday, and did pretty well. Got A's on these 9's:

Also AA'ed Dynamite Rave and full comboed Witch Doctor again when I got it in nonstop. And I must say, Luv to Me Disco Mix is the COOLEST song and the steps are the funnest I've played in a while.

Hehe, it seems like you always AA your songs on Nonstop ^^;; Weird, but hey...an AA is an AA.

Monday night (free DDR night), i was off...I just wasn't feeling it or something. Songs i usually get 2-7 greats i got about 13-20 and stuff. My biggest accomplishment that night was 30 greats on So Deep. But i also had 5 goods and a few boos...still AA'd it somehow.

EDIT: ok some new stuff from me (i just finished playing)

I finally AA'd a new 9er: Sync (oni). I tried Genom Screams and came away with 18 greats. and about the same amount of greats for Irresistiblement give or take 1 or 2. But maybe my biggest so far (and most painful) is 1 great on Air...

I beat Holic on Doubles heavy with a B! O_o And, remember waaaay back in this forum, i was saying how i throw all of my AAing techniques out the window when i play Max300? I feel is so odd. It's got patterns that are worthy of an 8 footer, but it's horribly off beat. I mean, I got that B when I muted the TV, and yet I'll still fail it sometimes.

Almost passed out again on Breakdown, but I got through it. The step patterns again aren't difficult, but it's so long and fast. but, I got through with it, so that's that.

I need to go unlock more songs.....

Passed Sakura on Challenge today, which was my first 9-footer! Not half bad either, I got a B. w00t!

I also passed V on Heavy for the first time without passing into the danger zone. I passed it, surprisingly, with a B. I had a really *on* day, there was a section in there where I was doing crossovers without really thinking about it. Yay :)

Finally! I've done it! My first heavy AAA on Let the Beat hit em (classic r&b style) heavy! It's a 6fter. but big deal. it's my first heavy AAA. (I need a digital camera...)

Now i'm working on Air, Last Message, Sky High, and Spin the Disc.

Oh i tried some DDR conditioning today, basically playing 10 after 10 then a stamina draining 9 (exotic e.), then more 10's of course trying to PA them all.

When i was done my feet were aching, i was dripping wet, but it felt good to get through it...i could almost feel my stamina increasing. My biggest accomplishment was probably a AA on Exotic AFTER doing Para Survivor and MAX300 right off the bat and another cool thing was a C on Para Survivor MAX (heavy)

I've yet to see that Kel, but who knows.

Pads had to be fixed again not long ago, but are working SO much better now. Passed True (The something sunrise mix, lol), with an A for the first time.

Kel, gotta ask you something when you have the time. Come around, or give me a call when you can.

ANYway, trying Butterfly challenge on doubles. Can't do it, even though I kinda hate the song with a passion. Tsugaru was abandonned. Tried something new - Gamelan de Couple. WEIRD step pattern. Hard to play. One more - Sana Morette Ne Ente - NOT easy on heavy. All, I suppose.

Major accomplishments for me last night (IMO, anyway):

Two new cata full-combos: Matsuri Japan (40 greats), and... drum roll.... Healing Vision Angelic Mix (79 greats).

I don't know if either of those would be AAs in the arcade, but I'm still pretty happy with them.

Nice job, Den! And an FC with 40 greats on MJ is in fact a AA! So another congrats to ya! Unfortunately Healing V. isn't ^^;;;; But i have yet to FC it, so great job.

I've been getting my great count down on some of the harder songs so i'm getting better. (Striving to be the best in so cali)

Wow. FC on HVAM is sweet. I can barely C it. That pause always throws me though, even if I know it's coming.

Full combo on HVAM is VERY impressive. It's a hard song. Congrats Den.

Haven't been around for a while, so I've got a few accomplishments.

AA'ed Xenon. I finally got the rhythms down because the patterns always seemed so random to me, but once I figured them out, it was cake AA'ing it.

AA'ed Paranoia Rebirth. This is what I call a MIRACLE. First, it has those awful stomps that I'm so terrible and and second, I was playing on Konamix so the frame rate was awful. I only got an A, but an A on Konamix is equal to an AA, right? I had 52 greats so I think I'm in the clear.

Got a B on Cartoon Heroes. :)

That is all. Oh, and AA'ing Rain of Sorrow is impossible. I either combo it and get a ton of greats or get a good or two. Bugs me.

Got my first heavy SDG on Wonderland on some old mix (don't remember which one). 7 greats. Not too much to write home about, but I'm making progress.

I miss Wonderland so... *sniff* ;_; That was off the 3rd mix. Let's see, i didn't do much on friday, but here are maybe a couple things to point out...

Matsuri Japan: Full Combo with 27 greats...I'm a bit upset about that though because i actually got a full 'perfect' combo during the first series of gallops save for maybe 1 or 2 greats, so i know i can possible SDG or even AAA this song. It was one of the last songs i played that day (friday) and i was feeling a lil tired, so i started GAing...>_<

Bag: Got a B, but on 2X. I normally play it on 5X...so i'm working my way down to where i can read it fine on 1X.

Exotic Ethnic: 20 something greats, i think 1 good.

Congrats on AAing Xenon, AB! I'm not sure if 52 greats will get you an AA on Rebirth though...if you didn't FC it then, i'm afraid not, but if you did, then there's a slight chance. It depends on where in the song you hit you perfects.
