Rolla coasta lova, and a DDR maniac

I haven't beaten a *new* 9-footer in a while. The ones currently under my belt are:

Tsugaru, Tsugaru Apple Mix, Drop Out, My Summer Love, Electro Tuned, Broken My Heart, Dynamite Rave, CSFILSM, HVAM, Exotic Ethnic, Matsuri Japan, The Legend of Max (standard), Trip Machine Luv Mix, Trip Machine Survivor, Trip Machine Climax, Paranoia Rebirth, Insertion, Afronova Primeval, Orion 78 Amuero Mix, Orion 78 Civ Mix, Rhythm and Police and Dead End. (sorry, that was long and boring)

Some that I have tried multiple times but never passed include: Burning Heat, Afronova, Saint Goes Marching, Max 300 and Ska a Go Go.

Also there are some that I can pass at home with an A fairly easily, but can't pass in the arcade! Including EE, HVAM, R&P, etc. Talk about frustrating...

Next?

I need to stick with my 6's because everything else I do lately has been sucking the life out of me and I haven't played much. The issue I had with the lame pads from Cyphergames doesn't help.

I look forward to the next PS2 release though, that'll provide some incentive to stay with it.

I finally managed to pass Here (Happy Grandale Mix) on Maniac today. ...as for 9 foot songs...ha! not a chance yet.

I spent a lot of my time exploring the songs on Extreme on Standard. . . . I played a lot of what I've read about here, like Tsugaru and Heaven is a '57 Gray metallic. . .

------------------
--Maddie--

This is quite frustrating - passing a song once, and never passing it again. I've managed to do that on Holic (Heavy), V for Extreme (Heavy), and Max 300 (Std).

Well, it's all about practice I suppose.

Ok, i'll try and go through my list of 9's and 10's under my belt

A (oni), Afronova, Bag, Captain Jack, CSFiL: (SM), Dance Dance Revolution, Dead End, Drop Out, Drop Out (remix), Dynamite Rave, Exotic Ethnic, Healing Vision: Angelic Mix, Kakumei, The Legend of MAX (standard), Matsuri Japan, Max 300, Orion.78 Amuero Mix, Paranoia Eternal (old steps), Paranoia Rebirth, Rhythm and Police, Saints Go Marching In (remix), Sakura (heavy and oni), So Deep, Sync (oni), Trip Machine Survivor, Tsugaru, Tsugaru: Apple Mix, Xenon

I've been trying to become consistant at Sakura, and pass Paranioa Survivor....gah...too hard...and one other thing...why do i find Heaven is a '57 metallic grey so hard? O_o

I don't find "Heaven is..." hard, but it is tricky.... I read the constant gallops as eighth notes for a long time. And, the first tempo change *always* gets me...

I've never played Sakura, but I hear there's one killer arrow at 14bpm.

Yup...>_> it seems to mess up everyone's perfect combo...i've gotten it before, but still...i hate it

I really have got to get back into DDR. I hadn't played in the last two weeks (yes, I know it's not very long, but it seems like forever to an addict), and I failed Healing Vision Angelic Mix on Friday. That bummed me out...anywho, as for those 9 & 10 footers, my favorites are V, A, and Across the Nightmare, all on Oni. They're all pretty much nonstop movement, which is something I've grown to enjoy (i.e. Healing Vision Angelic Mix, Can't Stop Fallin' in Love Speed Mix, you know). All those constant-movement songs are just great with the exception of the max's.

Does anyone else here do Oni mode (I'm guessing that "Kel" does)? I mean, some of the unlocked courses are insane, such as the course with 5-10 foot songs. I think the songs were Max300, MaxX Unlimited, Sakura, Legend of Max, and Paranoia Survivor Max. They're all on heavy, and Survivor Max is Oni steps, so I'd just love to see anyone attempt this and pass the first song. The Oni courses are the best thing in DDR IMO, because they make you do even better at the songs you can only "barely pass" (or pass with a moderate amount of mistakes). The best one out there with 8 & 9 footers is the IIDX Boss with all those sweet Oni steps. DXY (Heavy), V (Oni), Colors (Oni), A (Oni), and Xenon (Heavy) make a really cool mix. Too bad my arcade hasn't unlocked Xenon for me to practice on.

Woo! 9 & 10 step songs seem to make DDR all too great after really thinking about it, especially when they're in Oni mode :) . I'd say I'm obsessed.

I've got Bag down to 2x, I can do it on 2x now. Next step...1.5

I completed Paranoia Survivor & Trip Machine Survivor...incidentally I don't think Trip Machine Survivor should be so high rated...it's not that hard IMO.

I have not yet done any of the MAX songs in extra stage, though I can complete MAX300 Heavy on a regular basis now.

I don't think there are any more 9 footers I just can't pass anymore.

I don't play much anymore though.

Yeah, Trip Machine Survivor seemed really easy to me. I've only played it once and I got a B on it.

I can beat Bag on x3 but x2 just destroys me. I play it a lot on x3 though, because it's just so much fun.

Coastration, I love Oni mode but I really suck at it.... especially in the arcade. I usually plan Nonstop (or, Oni Mode for Chumps)...

I finally AA'ed Paranoia Survivor Max Oni.

With like...40 greats though =/

40 greats? olol ur teh sux0rs0rs!!1111eleven

So is Across the Nightmare Heavy a 9-footer? I thought it was 8. I can imagine how hard this would be on Guitar Freaks...

I just started playing about a month ago and the other day for some reason I was just on. Songs that I wouldn't have even been able to touch before I was passing with relative ease. I managed to get an AA on Cowgirl standard, which is probably trivial for all you DDR experts, but I was pretty proud of it.

Well...I think I'm so lucky because my local DDR place just put a great deal on DDR. Just for DDR this month 1 game is only 1 token. So on the Ex machine its 4 songs for 1 token and on the MAX2 its 5 songs for 1 token. But anyways...I passed V oni first time on Sunday...I'm pretty happy with my self.

New 9-footer (finally) passed this weekend: Ska a Go Go. I also passed Stoic, but I had to put it on x2. I failed on x1 and x1.5. Also also, I came really, really close to passing Twilight Zone on my first try.

I've decided that my new favorite song is Can't Stop Falling in Love Speed Mix. I can A it consistently now, so maybe that's why. ;)

New-to-me songs I played this weekend include: Drop Out Oni (kinda lame), White Lovers (surprisingly decent), We Are the Champions (lame), V (cool), Twin Bee (AWESOME! Another video game song! Anyone know what it's from?), Stay (eh), Senorita Speedy Mix (OK), Silent Hill 3rd Christmas Mix (freezes are fun), and... er.. I think that's it.

It's from...Twin Bee. For SNES.

That remix is from IIDX 4th Style though.

Never heard of it. Was it a Konami game? Was it for S-Famicom only?

It was Konami, and S-Fancom only unfortunately =/

(and WOAH! the forums don't have retarded script anymore =D)

Remember way back when we had the first DDR topic, and i was talking about how i was so close to beating Paranoia Survivor, well...non need to talk about how i was so close, because today, as my 4th and final song, I, Kellen S., has beaten Paranoia Survivor with a B.

*hears crickets chirp*

>_> I've been tyring this song for weeks and i haven't been able to pass it, now i have!!

*doesn't even hear the crickets*

>_>;;;

bah! At least I'M happy. That's 4 10fters under my belt, now. Just 3 left.
