Some pretty cool accomplishments for me today:
I played Pop 4 Normal (nonstop) and I FC'd it with about 18 greats and a score of 96 million something...but alas...not enough to get my name on the board :(
I somehow pulled of MaxX Unlimited with a B (O_o!) I dunno HOW i did it, since my best grade before that was a D, but i did it.
And i AA'd Dead End. :)
EDIT: I forgot...3 greats on My Summer Love. Just wanted to rub that in too ;) *** Edited 2/25/2004 1:26:16 AM UTC by Kel***
Hey, I'm improving. As soon as I get a new pad I'll be able to AA almost every 7 footer on heavy! :)
------------
First Max I'm going for....Unlimited.
new accomplishments:
1. AA'd Waka Laka
2. AA'd Witch Doctor
3. Got 97 Mil on Pop 4 normal
4. Got 8 greats on Last Message
my PA's getting better.
gwaba :)
Playing Healing Vision songs, both the normal and Angelic Mix. Normal, I can't pass, but get far. Angelic Mix, not even close to half way.
Playing some older Paranoia songs, but with no luck of passing any.
Almost AAd 4 songs the other day. The original My Summer Love (AA), My Summer Love (Challenge - A), Let the Beat Hit Em (AA), Extra Stage - Telephone Operator (AA).
Rumors are going around that someone is going to start a tournament on singles at Tilt. More info as it comes along, but be sure that I WON'T be entering, lol.
There's a new DDR machine in my town, a 6th mix... not at an arcade, it's at a LAN computer gaming place. They also have Stepmania with Cobalt Flux metal pads, and pretty much every import music game and controller (i.e. Guitar Freaks, Pop'n, IIDX). Very cool place. The DDR machine still has a Japanese coin slot (100Y) so you have to pay in advance... weird. It's only 50 cents for four songs. Hope they get an Extreme upgrade soon...

Awesome job with Era Andy. It has a lot of those one-note taps which I suck at. It'll be a LONG time before I ever AA Era.
6th Mix machines seems to be pretty rare. I've ran into every single mix multiple times, and I've only seen a 6th mix once. It was when I was a newb, and I didn't play it because I had the home version and thought I had already played all the songs on it anyway. What a newb I was!
I know pretty much all the songs from MAX were picked up for later mixes, but there a few cool ones that got left behind. Namely Bye Bye Baby Balloon, Ghosts and Flash in the Night. I'd like to find a MAX machine and give those a try, and I know Ghosts is on MAX2 US but I still want to try it at the arcade.
Question, though. I was look at the song list for arcade MAX on DDRFreak and I noticed a few of the songs had "STP" where the foot ratings should be. THEN I noticed all the songs that had this were the songs that weren't picked up for any later mixes (Baby Balloon, Flash and Follow Me.) So, what are the foot ratings, and what does STP mean? Here's the chart if you want to see it.
I think "stp" is just short for "stepchart."

My Accomplishemts:
1. AA'd Paranoia Evolution (finally) and like you, AB, i too missed a step ^^;
2. 7 Greats and 1 miss on Do you remember me.
3. Getting closer to AAing Max300. I got like 90 million-something for the score.
4. A'd MaxX Unlimited. Don't know how, but i guess i was just feelin' the steps :)
5. Was THIS CLOSE to passing Paranoia Survivor MAX oni. I failed at the slowdown part near the end of the song.
That's all from me today.
I passed a 9 footer!:)
Twilight Zone with a D, but I really feel that song and think I can get that to a B tommorrow.
I probably won't ever list an arcade accomplishment, since me getting to one is about once every two months, and the closest one has pretty much songs that are only on the PS2, but oh well.
-----------
Next Song Killing: Tsugaru, and then Breakdown.

It's wierd because i RARELY FC songs with a AA, especially a 9fter. I usually AA with a good or miss or something (with the exception of My Summer Love). I have some accomplishments, but i did them a few days ago, so i forgot alot of them...but 1 that stands out is that I FC'd Burning Heat, but with no AA.
I also double AA'd So Deep 3X along with other stff i forgot about (so it really wasn't that important ;))
EDIT: Just remembered one accomplishment. I was VERY close to passing Paranoia Survivor MAX Oni again. Grr, i can feeeeeeeel it! It's the only one i have left. *** Edited 3/5/2004 6:21:31 AM UTC by Kel*** *** Edited 3/5/2004 6:24:00 AM UTC by Kel***
I scored AA number 5 the other night: My Sweet Darlin'. I wasn't expecting it... two straight hours on a 6th mix machine, and finally I get an AA on my last song.
Also, new 9-footer passed: Flash in the Night, with an A. At least I think it's a 9-footer, there's no official rating. The arcade owner was calling it a 10-footer. I'm sure it's at least 9; the beginning and ending are insane and everything in between is straight 8th-notes at 185 bpm.
I remember I was at a site (I can't remember it now) and it has pictures from MAX2's test location and I noticed a lot of step ratings were different. So Deep was a 10, Twilight Zone was an 8, Centre of the Heart was a 6, Witch Doctor and Yozora No Muko were both 9's and Era had also been bumped down to a 7. All of those ratings have since been changed. It makes sense now because all the MAX songs weren't rated before MAX2.
A little accomplishment for me would be having at least a B grade all on the songs on MAX home version, excluding MAX300. I also got an A on Exotic Ethnic, which REALLY shocked me. I didn't think I had done so great, and I had even almost failed at the end, so the A was a surprise.
