It's obvious that PKI is getting a overhaul of that area! You think they're just gonna have the open field where KC stood? I know the wouldn't. Because of the success of TRTR Kings Island IS going to get a Huss Frisbee. Don't believe me?!?! Wait and see. That area is where the most changes will be next year.

Who cares if it is a frisbee....that is more attendance down....and guys like ME would never say "we need more flats" because (a) flats are a waste and (b) I don't ride them (TR only). Also....TRTR was not a success many people STILL complain about that ride...even out-of-towners....don't go spreading false stuff....many people disliked TRTR and still do....Heck it is closed most of the time (recalls season pass night). If PKI gets a frisbee amen to them but I won't b going up their.
Is it the dippin' dots guy or the lemon chill guy that has the pictures? I asked both last time I was there, but I guess he didn't like me.

pkifanatic, it seems from your tone that you do not care for PKI too much and are dissapointed with their decisions. Right?
Then why do you post using the moniker "pkifanatic?"
I am not trying a slam you at all, I just find it ironic that you overall feelings expressed in this post exemplify some sort of disgust or dissapointment with the park.
You are absolutely entitled to your opions. However, the foremost thing to remember about park additions is that they all cannot cater to one demographic group. What you may dislike, others may love, and what you love others may dislike. So the park targets different age groups with different tastes in attractions.
It sounds as if you have grown up around PKI, or at least have been familiar with it over the past few years. I am not sure how many parks you have attended, or if you frequently go to other parks. Never-the-less PKI is a standout park and you should consider yourself very lucky to have it nearby. They may not always install what you or I would like to see, but that is the nature of the Beast (No pun intended.)
Just because their *potential* ride choices do not suit your desires, it seems premature to make comments saying you will go to another park instead, or will "not go near there." Especially when the something may end up interesting or attracting you afterall. And then, if you do go, you have to eat crow.

Thank you John. It's about time someone knocked some sense into that guy.
Oh BTW, parts of the ride are at PKI.

And you have consulted a psychic on this or something? Just wondering how you can predict the future of the park considering 2003 hasn't even begun.

For you they may be a waste but for thousands of others, it is a smart move. If this wasn't the case then why are flat rides so popular?
I don't ride them (TR only).
Once again, while YOU may not ride them, many others will. There are a couple coasters I will no longer ride at other parks, but I know many others will.
Also....TRTR was not a success
What data do you have to prove this? From what I know, the ride has been very well recieved and a huge hit with most of the public.
many people STILL complain about that ride...even out-of-towners
While there may be people that complain about the ride, most of the results I have heard show a very different story.
....don't go spreading false stuff...
Hmmm. How ironic.
.many people disliked TRTR and still do....
But many people like it a lot. From the looks of all those people standing in line every day, the ride is doing its job.
Heck it is closed most of the time (recalls season pass night).
Define most of the time. With the exception of 2 times I have been to the park this year, Tomb Raider was opened and didn't close when I was around it.
If PKI gets a frisbee amen to them but I won't b going up their.
You will truly be missed.

Correct me if I`m wrong, but doesn`t a Huss Giant Frisbee seat like 60 or so people at a time?
The version that is on the HUSS site says 50 riders at a time, but who knows what modifications a park could ask for?

Actually Shaggy....last year (2001) was the first time (in my teenage years)I was at PKI... Last year was the first time I ever went on a roller coaster... Last year I loved the park, hence the name pkifanatic....last year the park was new to me. Now it isn't. It is just dull. And I liked PT and I am angered that they are taing that away and putting some Men In Black Alien Attack wannabie in it's place...to me, that doesn't fit PKI. Dunno why, but it doesn't. Now...I keep the name pkifanatic because I like the fact that you know who I am...when you see pkifanatic you say to yourself.."hey there is that stupid kid." I love that...

Oh really...seems to me that they cater the young ones all they can...you don't get a Golden Ticket award for nothing..

2 times? LOL! How can you say that flat rides are so popular when you have been at the park only two times....WAIT.... ::scrolls back up to Sean's posts::

Humm..seeing you been to the park a whole 2 times you wouldn't know this from that....I listen to what people say... Heck this one guy from Indiana...he asked about the ride...I told him it was a decent ride and I said for the most part he should enjoy it....After the ride was over I asked him how he liked it...his response..."It was alright." Not positive but not negative....but it is safe to assume many people are still wishing that they would have put a coaster in that spot...

Well..... I'll would say it is close at least every day. Rather it be that it is broken or just changing stuff. It gets closed down...

What I meant to say was out of ALL the times I have been to the park this year (probably 15 times or so), Tomb Raider was closed 2 times, and one of those days, it did open.
Humm..seeing you been to the park a whole 2 times you wouldn't know this from that...
Someone that has only been to the park one time could easily see the popularity of the ride. It's a very popular ride as dictated by the amount of people that ride it and the park contacts that I know.

Yes, a few people do wish for a coaster. To me, those people seem like the same people that bashed PKI for chosing Tomb Raider. The park has decided that a coaster would probably not be the best choice so they went with something else. I enjoy Tomb Raider as much as a coaster because it is very different.
People have to realize that parks don't cater to coaster enthusiasts. Just because a park doesn't add a new coaster in doesn't mean in any way attendance will automatically drop.
Well..... I'll would say it is close at least every day. Rather it be that it is broken or just changing stuff. It gets closed down...
Not every day. Like I said, out of all the times I have been there, there was a problem with it 2 days, therefore, it wasn't closed "at least every day".
