PKI in 2003

Ask anyone on the site, they do it. You should check out things before you say them. Plus if you walk back somewhere to see that a ride is closed I don't think people are going to whine, there's something around to ride or do, plus you can't control if a ride's going to break down, they don't sit there and say hey looks like Drop Zone needs to get stuck half way up the tower! As a matter of fact I love flat rides, coasters aren't anything. I wouldn't take anything over a ride on the Monster or Scrambler with my girlfriend. Maybe you should go to somewhere else and complain about PKI, because we shoot you down on every comment.

Hmmm, a little self contradictory are we? If you hate prejudiced people, then you must be prejudiced towards prejudiced people? Hmmm, interesting.

LOL at CoasterDad...my keyboard is broke....most of the time, on a big word, I use spell check. And some just didn't catch the joke with the "none sinse" deal...no biggy.

Why would someone go all the way across the park just to ride one ride? Sure, I've done it before with FOF, SOB, and TRTR, but I don't think I was pissed about it. I just asked if it may reopen soon and would just go on to Vortex or Beast or Top Gun. There's so much to do that you're not just left in this situation "ok, I'm at Congo Falls, but I want to go to Reptar. Oh no, I'm at Reptar and its closed. Now we have to go all the way back to Action Zone. This park sucks!" Get my point? You're just not making a whole lot of sense here.

You people just love to put words in my mouth...

O.K at times...when with a group you may walk to an area of the park to ride one ride...you get over there and that ride is closed. So, some people will say lets get on Drop Zone..other will object because they are afraid of that ride..O.K. so lets get on Top Gun. Nope I don't want to get on that..it is to lame...alright. How about Face/Off...no to long of a wait...do you see where that can get kinda frustrating?

Now we have to go all the way back to Action Zone. This park sucks!" Get my point? You're just not making a whole lot of sense here.

I am making a lot of sense...you choose not to accept it.

Well life sucks than doesn't, just because one ride is broke down for a little bit your going to say the park sucks. Well life sucks, walk a little bit and ride something else, it's not like walking will kill you.

If I'm ever in the situation with a large group, usually if one or two people don't want to ride for some reason, they either wait in line with the rest of us and then cross through to the exit when we get to the ride or they go shop or ride something else and meet us at a certain time. It's not a big deal unless you're with a really hostile group like I guess you're describing to me. And no, you aren't making much sense and I think you do need some more experience to be able to compare some of the things you are.

Btw, nice one Aaron! ;)

Maybe pkifanatic needs to take a breath and move away from the computer for awhile. You are getting way to bent out of shape over this. Maybe you should cut your computer off and go outside to cool off abit. No need to argue so much over this.

It is now time to move on and find something else to do.

I NEVER SAID THAT....look at the freaking post before you reply... my gawd...you are the biggest idiot ever....you have the intelligence of a peanut. And yes... I said that I was wrong... and yes usually I do research before saying stuff.

CoasterAaron...i'm not prejudice...I respect all these peoples opinions but once they start stereotyping kids/teens as punks, something needs to be said.

It is teasing... a lot like a movie "teasers." That is why they call them that because they tease(sp?) the public into seeing their attraction...

Yes, but this is a still marketing move.

Most every park? Um...PKD didn't do so... they announced their ride..

....and did PKI with Drop Zone and Face Off? Nope.

.Ceder Point I am sure will too... We already know it is going to be a coaster, or we think we know. Possibly just carelessness? I dunno but at lease they reveal part of the ride. Kings Island is all hush hush about everything...Example TRTR..Heck PKI even managed to upset the "little ones" with that one...

Everything? Can you name something else they were "hush hush" about? Not telling people exactly what Tomb Raider is was probably one of the best marketing moves they could have done for that ride. Why? Beacuse it generated enough talk before it opened that everyone was talking about it. I am sure you can remember those threads on this site.

Flocking to Ceder Point...yeah I plan on going there to check out "the latest additions."

So will I, but I will be at PKI having a blast as usual.

Or were you talking about PKI....no...sorry. I don't plan on going their in 2004. Best park in the country you say....well maybe most people on this board will agree but I am sure their are those out their that would argue...Ceder Point all the way.

Cedar Point is awesome also. I am curious to see what your reaction would be if Cedar Point were to add 'just another flat'.

Go play paintball all day in 93 degree weather. Then we will talk... Oh and I am clam.

Oh, I'm making plenty of sense...I'm sorry if you are to dumb to understand it.....wait.....yes...that is it...i do need to get off the computer....like you guys do...but when you do it you devote your life to amusement parks...thats what I shall do....I'll devote my adult life to amusement parks...thus I'll gain experience and then........ I can open up my own park... like the kind folks at Holiday World..... NAH!

It seems like you have gone out of your way to perpetuate a stereotype.

Ugh, this thread is really getting old.

Maybe not everything...Everything was a bit drastic of a word to use. It was a good move...but it really did dissapoint a lot of people....after that I dunno how anyone can say that the GP arn't asking/bagging for a coaster.

Your fellow friend started it...I am just ending it..I voice my opinions..I get crap for it...I rap about ....kinda like eminem.

The research that PKI have done has proven that they are heading in a different direction. Adding a coaster every year doesn't always work. I mean, like you pointed out, they added one in 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001. While this may have worked for a while, according to the research the park did, it was time for something different.

You have to remember also all the years PKI didn't add a coaster back to back. That's a lot of years if you think about it, yet the park was very popular.

I think 2003 will lean more in the direction of 2002. Sure, I am sure we may see a new coaster in the future, but I honestly don't think it would be a giga or anything that large. The park had it's record breaking coaster days and now it is time for something else..

pkifanatic. It's a million to one. And you're obviously loosing. Take a break.

I hope a mod closes this thread after my post so that pkifanatic can't ramble on about the false **** that he's making.

The fact is PKI is making a smart move with this Frisbee and then the Haunted Scooby Ride. Another fact, it will be pleasing to people of all ages. Opinion, they should get another coaster. pkifanatic is entitiled to this but like I said, PKI is going with a fact, in that more people will like this than hate them for not building a coaster. It's a win loose situation. And PKI is winning more than loosing. About marketing, the GP doesn't even know that PKI is going to announce another ride. So why do they have to announce it now? Just for the small percentage of coaster enthusiasts compared to the GP? I think not. We already know what it's gonna be.

So calm down....... not clam down pkifanatic(look at a recent post). PKI is PKI we cannot tell them what to do or how to run their park. And IMO they're already doing a great job of it!

Look at everything the park did in 2001 and 2002 pkifanatic. It seems to be about something different and something for everyone. From Reptar to Thornberries to Flight of Fear to Smash Factory and 7th Portal in 2001 and then Tomb Raider, new characters, The Beast, and Meteor Attack in 2002, they're aiming for quality and fulfilling experiences for the entire family and I give them a lot of credit for that!

There is no way I would ever want to play paintball with you but thanks for asking though.

As for you being calm, I have my doudts on that one.

Wow...after reading through all the posts on this thread...it leaves you with little to say...or maybe not...

There are proper ways of effectively communicating to make your opinion known, but not offend others in the process. There is no reason to call someone dumb, stupid, or whatever else offensive. Your thoughts and opinions will be rejected by others when you stoop lower to make a point (and just as a side note, it is killing me to write this...I guess a degree is still good for something).

pkifanatic, take a moment to read back over your posts (and not just yours). I hope you will see that this thread has degraded significantly from it's intended topic. I don't think anyone here is really enjoying the argument as there are much better things to argue over. Unfortunately by attacking someone, you put them on the defensive, which then destroys the idea of logical, cohersive debate. It is great to state your opinions and learn about others opinions as well. Just because we don't all agree, doesn't mean we have to result to name calling and nitpicking.

So you are unhappy with PKI. That's okay. I (and I believe everyone else here) respects that. Now please respect our opinions and thoughts as well.

I am now climbing down from my 200ft tall soap box.

My opinion, I think it would be great for them to get a Frisbee. My home park (WOF) got a topspin this year, and I love it. Mind you I am not a spin and puke fan. However I have noticed increasingly that the new flat rides of today have amazing motion without making you sick. I think the GP is embracing this as well. You will never catch me in a spinning barrel ride (the proper name is currently eluding me) but I will be the first to ride a topspin, mixer, frisbee and probably any of the newer flat rides. Coasters are my favorite and probably always will be...but a park without a good flat selection is lacking in it's overall experience.

Waiting for the CP announcement to be made so that about 1000+ posts will be made complaining about it.

all I can say to that is......thank goodness punctuation isn't on that list....you guys who've been around for awhile must realize how MUCH I truly detest punctuation.....;)
