PKI in 2003

It's okay. I understand. I myself cannot say I'm a Paramount fan because I've only been to one, PKI. But even from that park, which until recently was my home park, I relized that I loved it so much better than any other chains. Not just becuase it's my home park, and I'll always think of it as that, but because of the small things. It's got so much more flavor that SF and CF(the two main other chains).

2003? You see where I'm headed...it's not just about big coasters and bragging that your the best. Sometimes the best changes are the ones that don't grab for the headlines. Unfortunately, enthusiasts aren't very patient, and some don't have any foresight what-so-ever. If it's not 400ft, don't give them a call.

OutKast, you won't move up very quickly in the ranks at SF with thinking like that....oh that's right, you're not with SF...LOL.

The reason I snipped this portion is because many parks seem to be grabbing headlines with record-breakers, etc., but then forget that if you treat your "guests" like "intruders", they're unlikely to come back again....or to recommend the place to others....whereas well thought out expansions and good GR mayt not grab the headlines, but the word WILL get out....I certainly haven't seen any HW commercials here in FL, but I have recommended the place to hundreds of people from ALL over the place....

The thing I hope they do for next year is tear up all that asphalt, pour concete, paint the concrete a greenish or light off-red and add a bunch of fan-mist machines thoughout the place. Its just too darn hot!
A big adition would be a Frisbee what I think, and possibly tunnels on SOB, I just hope that we finally get those and new trains, that would make it definitely better, and not as painful. My gf's dad who worked at the park said there was a 40% decrease in attendance which would mean just a lil over 1.7 million, which I doubt. He wouldn't know anyways, but I would rather have alot small additions than a huge coaster for next year, the longer I wait the more I'll like it.

You know me, that tricky Shaggy sure likes to lead people down the wrong PKI path. I cannot wait to spread more false PKI rumors. OIY VEY!

Hey, you said it! Not me. =:^)

To clarify, although I am not sure why I am having to do so... I said there were changes in various parts of the park, which there were.... significant ones that included Rivertown.

You are correct Shagster. Didn't the park just add a HUGE addition to that area? Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't Tomb Raider sit in Rivertown?

If you did not notice them then you are not very observant. The food stands (one was new) and games (one was new) and shop near TR:TR each received "changes" and extra themeing.

I am not sure how anyone could 'not' notice those chances unless they don't spend a lot of time there. The new looks are a big improvement IMO.

With at least one visible even from across the interstate at the Beach, which it appears you'll just be waving to. ;-)

Hmmm. Whatever are you leading up to Shaggy?

However I would predict things on a bit bigger scale for next season. With at least one visible even from across the interstate at the Beach...

Just a guess here, but could it be a paint job for the Eiffel Tower? I remember that being discussed a while ago. (Or was that for PKD's Tower?)

A repainted Eiffel Tower!!!!!!? Haha!

Columbus Coaster.... I cannot believe me and you thought the same thing (rolls eyes). Oh, and guys, I don't play that many games. I mean you can only not make a basket so many times....you can only look at the "babbling brook" so many times. I don't stand and sight see. Remember I am only 16 years old here.

I was not speaking of an Eiffel Tower repaint, not that it isn't a possibility.

Humm.....I don't understand who you are buddy-buddy with...but it must be nice. Heck, when I asked my cousin what was going in KC's sport next year..she said a sling shot....doh! Can't be a coaster...so it must be a Frisbee.

Well whatever it is it has to do with a larger attraction. Any ideas?

A Ferris Weel maybe.

It would be about time they got a ferris wheel. That's the one thing I think they're missing (besides a steel hyper), but considering they are a "theme park" they may not ever go for a big wheel.

pkifanatic....Shaggy and Sean have been around PKI for a long, long time, and have MANY contacts there.....of course, the quickest way for them to lose those contacts would be to say something they're not supposed to say....;)
Outkast, don't forget that Carrowinds and Terra Mitca are getting coasters in 2003.

I think a lot of people are looking for the park to widen the path to Action Zone, especially if the 2004 attraction will be going in the area. Something I would absolutely **love** would be signs like they had at WDW, DCA, and Disneyland to show how long the waits are for major rides all over the park. I think that would be a great idea, so no lines become too long and the shorten ones get more riders as well.

The park is so good at working the little details that's its hard for me to see any flaws at all and I can't think of anything else right now to add.

About the wild mouse, the only coaster I can think of that all 5 parks have is Taxi Jam, so I didn't really expect PKI to recieve one (at least a normal one, right gator? ;)).

But, I'm looking forward to 2003 and Scooby alone is just incredible! I had a dream about it last night and if its anything like that, we're in for a real treat! =^P

Movie Coaster and Enthusiast White Pages

I alternate between making multiple trips to Cedar Point and PKI each season. Cedar Point in 2003 with there 400 footer and then PKI in 2004 for the rumor coaster. Looks like i timed this up right.

PKI snooze...I doubt they will get a coaster in 2003. Where will they put it? Not in KC's spot. If they put it anywhere else it will look out of place.

Just be looking for some major changes around the area of where KC once stood.

How would you know abut these "major changes"? What could go in there? Another pay ride? A pizza stand....Heck I would love for PKI to drop Skyline and put in a Gold Star stand in....Major changes...no major bullcrap.
