Magic Mountain stakes its claim on having the most coasters in the world why Cedar Point says, "Not so fast." While both parks will claim 15 coasters for the 2002 season, Cedar Point questions whether or not Superman: The Escape is actually a coaster.

Janice, quit crying, CP still has a portion of the record.

My opinion of S:TE is that it's not worth arguing it was a coaster. When I rode it in August it was boring at best. I mean seriously we accelerated went up then went down. I WAITED AN HOUR FOR THIS? Seriously, STE is not worth arguing as a coaster.

CP has 15
MM has 15
DISCUSSION OVER!!!! I mean, the argument is not childish, but the " (insert park here) has more and (other park) SUX!" people are. I think that, in the public interest, we should close this thread before intense hatred develops between us. Rollercoasters are about fun....Not silly biased debates....

But anyway, I say their tied for most coasters. That's my two cents.

Sept. 11th 2001, Slayer released God Hates Us All. The song "Disciple" uncannily describes the events of that day, as well as the anthrax letters that followed.

Second, just because you replace a vowel with an asterisk doesn't mean kids can't figure out what you're posting. Leave the language elsewhere, please.
Third, if you dog a park official by name, knowing full well they can't respond in a public forum, I'll boot you. That's spineless and classless. You've been warned.
This is hardly something to get excited about.

ok what do you like better?
Come ride our 27 Exhilirating coasters, youll be flying over Our parking lot, banging your head until your ears bleed. Afterwards you can roam around our themed villages like Looney Toon land where you can fly with Superman over our old parking lot. Like SF
or
Come ride our Scream Machines where you wil be endorfed by our spectaular theming that literally cost more than the ride itself. You will fly through caves and deep through the woods on our 7 adventurous coasters. Our roller coasters have been made sure give you a comfortable ride by being perfectly engineered by top notch manufacturers. Like Busch
To me it seems that SFMM is more like the first one(not all the way) and that CP is more like the second one( not all the way)
So it doesnt really matter if u have the record for the most coasters if half of them suck and/or are kiddy coasters, but what matters is the quality and thrillingness.
This has been an unbiased opinion by DrachenFire04, who has never been to a Six Flags or Cedar Fair park!
Both parks will soon have 15 coasters. How do you make sure your upcoming addition stays in the headlines while still in the contruction stage? Re-heat a tired, five year old debate, while cunningly promoting your own similar coaster. I think it's a pretty sly move by Cedar Point.
On the other hand, SFMM remains surprisingly quiet on the subject. Why? Because they come off looking like the class act, while sucking up some free publicity of their own. While the rest of you check in with the predictable "who cares"(yeah right) and "CP Rules", I tend to regard this as good clean *fun* between two "rivals" who obviously have nothing to lose by this, and dummy could tell you the parks don't actually compete against each other or affect each others "bottom line".
The irony here(and this just cracks me up), is that both parks are *stuck* with 15 coasters whether they like it or not. Where else but America would this feel like losing in some way. ;)
