Michigan's Adventure Future Plans

I say that they bring swabinchen from cedar point along with the swan boats.
MIA already has Trabant, which is the same ride as swabinchen, except without the little theming swibinchen has. And Strijder i havnt heard anything about a laser show, and i wouldnt expect MIA to get one for quiet a while.
One thing I KNOW MiA wants to do is to acquire the land towards the rear of the park (nearest the water slides) and develop it into a "Camper Village" of sorts. I think the notion that Cedar Fair wants to develop the park into more of an "all day" or "multiple day" park with on-site accomodation makes the most sense. Simply moving rides from Cedar Point is not the answer (I can't remember who said it was a "great idea," but it's not....). I think Cedar Fair has been down this road before. They know what they're doing, and nothing is going to stagnate there, at least while Cedar Fair is at the reigns. They've already taken great strides to improve the entrance, plant a few trees, and so on.

I will not get a season pass next year. I only used mine at CP twice (maybe going for the final operating day, we'll see), and MiA once. Just don't have the time to go like I used to :(

first off behind the waterpark is the parks maintenence building, the park warehouse, the human reasource office, a manager parking lot, and the large emplyee parking lot, which is used for storage. MIA is NOt going to build a campground in that area of the park. It would make absolutly no sence to remove all that stuff to build a meeslye campground when there are much better places to build one. The only land MIA has actually tried to aquire (and already has aquired some of it) is the land toward thunderbird raceway, and land to the far left when looking from top ST. and i will have to say that mooving rides that are unpopular at cedar point and putting them at MIA is very likley because both parks benifit, MIA gets a good qulity ride, and CP has room to put in a new more thrilling ride.
Why would CP give up their swan boats? It must be making way for something new to be built in Fronteirtown (05). I wonder if Waveswinger will be moved or transfered as well?

Now that you mention it, that has been the rumor all year long.

If I was part of a coaster, I would be an upstop pad on an Arrow Mine Train.

Yea, there is a rumor about them (cp) removing wwl in a few years to build a flying coaster.
I hate to say this again but CF has not acquired any land at all beyond what came with the park.

Intamin, if you can back up what you are saying about acquring more land with some actual proof, that would be greatly appreciated.

NO! not a flyer! why do parks continue to build these things! A 4D is much better weather it's Arrow or B&M. I don't care. With realestate becoming more and unavailable @ CP. The criteria for a new coaster should be tougher.Flyers are a bomb. To me they are the new Standup. On top of that a flyer would look stupid in Fronteirtown. If they must build such a dumb dumb coaster at least replace an old dumb dumb coaster such as Mantis or DT.

Why not? It's happened before and will happen again. In fact, I'll bet it's happened more recently than you think.

VF has inherited CP's former Wild Mouse and Bayern Kurve in the past. They've both since been 'retired', but in 2000 they also got three or four kiddie rides from Dorney and in 2001 many of the props and devices from WoF's former Berenstain Bears 'museum'.

It didn't only happen with CP's Dodgem transfer to MiA for TTD. It's been happening for a while. The only question is, which rides would MiA get?

The CPlaya 100--6 days, 9 parks, 47 coasters, 2037 miles and a winner.....LoCoSuMo.

Playa,

I can think of one ride they probably won't get.

Chaos.

Dorney's rumored to have a replacement for the Apollo 2000; perhaps Apollo might come to MiA?
It could

I think its possible for MIa to get appallo but most likley if appalo is removed it will not be relocated, due to its age.

What is appallo?
apollo 2000 I believe is one of dorneys oldest thrill rides. Im not sure but i believe it is made by chance. Check out www.Dorneyonline.com its listed under the trhill rides section.

It appears if they get anything at all it will be small, or moved from another cedar fair property.

BTW, I checked out the MiA website today and was set upon by BATS! Kinda cute.

Since 2005 looks like a big cap exp year with the already announced coasters (DP, KBF, and presumably CP), we might have to wait for 2006 for something nice, assuming the attendance continues to increase in the meanwhile.
Cedar fair announced their 2004 plans and in the press release there was nothing specifically about MIA so we can pretty much totaly rule out a major ride for 2004, well just have to keep are fingers crossed for 05. Check out the press release from cedar fair here http://www.cedarfair.com/public/news/story.cfm?id=147

Hmmmm, looking around in the CF boneyard, and WHAT do I find....looky-looky, the greatest flat ride EVER built, from Zierer no less....move *that* sucker to MiA and I might be tempted to return.......naaah, probably not, not even for my beloved Tumbler, LOL.

MiA is the PGA of CF, IMO....
