What do you call Steel Venom? ;)

Certain victory.

I wonder what their relationship is with intamin right now?

Considering that Kinzel referred to TTD as his "worst decision ever" in a recent interview, I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say not good.

Yeah I would guess steel coaster for FT at CP where WWL was. I mean, if you look up the defiition of it, it seems perfect for the FT theme. :)

CP was amazing, going back next June to ride Maverick

To answer KTS --- a waste of money.

I would be inclined to agree with Coasterniece, and others here about a steel coaster of some type for FT. I can't imagine a second woodie on the coast of the park like that, even if it is an Intamin woodie.

Now officially a Halloween Haunt Cornstalker for Fall '08! www.freewebs.com/chadmicah
I've heard every possible rumor about what is going to be built at Cedar Point in '07. It started with dueling B&M flyers, then went to an Intamin Plug-n-Play woodie, and now I'm hearing about a 500 foot tall B&M Dive Machine. But I'm with you Moosh...Maverick is a great name for a woodie (especially in Frontier Town). I'm just not going to hold my breath about it. Hmmmm....the Villain's at Geauga Lake and Maverick could be at Cedar Point.

NAAAAAAA.......

I'm sorry, but I fail to see any solid connection between the names Villain and Maverick.

or maybe it's GLs long-awaited hyper ::rolls eyes::

2006 - 2009 Cedar Fair Ride Operations
2009 - Walt Disney World Attractions.

Sorry i didnt read into it far enough. Anyhow it mentions cedar fair not cedar point. So the verdict is in at least that some park will get something with the name Maverick on it. My hope actually would be that one of the lesser updated parks would get a new ride, more than likely a coaster. Geauga Lake is the one actually for me. I mean its been a while for the park to get a new thrill ride attraction there. At least since X-Flight in 2001. But that is awful early for something to be coming out, man they must plan ahead for things like this. Whether it was actually part of the plans of deconstruction at any of the parks or what seems very early for anything.

I guess lets keep an eye open at the point and any of the other parks. Not like we dont already anyhow.

Resident Arrow Dynamics Whore

It's a Cedar Point ride no doubt, hints in the blog, giant open field in the area the name would fit, and even Jeff said somewhere he thinks we're all gonna be happy with what he's heard is coming.

Me? I'm dishonest, and a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid.
Who says this is the only trademark patent CF will be applying for for a ride for 2007? Its just as possible that Maverick is a name for a coaster for another CF park and that other patents are to follow.
As for CF dealing with Intamin for a raft ride, thats a no brainer over 90% of raft rides in America are Intamins, its what got them through the late 80s-mid 90s there the best when it comes to those rides.

My guess is that the duel failure of their rocket coasters is going to put a stop to any new CF Intamins in the near future.

Huh? What?
The "dual failures", of course, only refers to the two GIANT models..
Well if they would just build another Storm Runner in the Midwest, we'd all be happy (OHIO is NOT the MIDWEST).

^ From the Atlantic it is... ;) LOL!

I do feel kinda silly suggesting the beachfront now, it's fairly obvious that it goes with the Frontier Town theme... DUH! :(

(But I do think the area near DT would make a beautiful setting for a wooden coaster... ;)

...on a pier perhaps. :)

Im pretty sure there will be no piers. They could do it, But Ice on the lakes has proven brutal before.

Chuck

Sorry for my rather cheesey and somewhat dated reference to an old television show that also became a motion picture several years ago. Good guy (Maverick) versus Villain just stuck me funny yesterday. But I digress....

I've always felt a boardwalk that extended along the beach with a wooden coaster and various rides was something the park should look into. But I agree Chuck, a pier out into the lake would just be a headache.
