Never say never when it comes to Tom Spackman and Tom Jr.
Bubbles, Strangely I've been able to watch the streaming video feed since about 1pm. Just not for more than ten seconds at a time durring the actual webcast.
It's a crime sometimes but I have the memory of a elephant when it comes to things I've heard, Read or seen that interest me. I can't remember exactly when but at some announcement , I believe it was for Liberty Launch and Halowswings or the SRM of the year of they debute. Will mentioned that Pat was dissapointed she did get her darkride.
The station took down the link to the streaming page but the holiblog direct link in the BRITS post still works. Check it out.
Chuck, who wonders if Pat knew she was on the whole 8 minutes before Will showed up.
Exotic Dancer :) Why not, She looks better than many women a quarter her age :)
Three cheers for Paula for all her updates, clues, hints and diversions!
Hip Hip Horray!
Hip Hip Horray!
Hip Hip HW.
Thud! IS HW Heaven on earth?
Chuck
Just one question though. On the new "Bahari River", am I right in thinking this will be like "Hubba Hubba Highway" at Water country USA? I hope so, cause I loved that ride last week.
Anyway, thank you Holiday World...you just made my year!
Thanks Paula for filling the last several weeks with anticipation and excitement. *** Edited 7/14/2005 12:08:03 AM UTC by Steve Perry***
I consider him a designer even if he isn't schooled in the art. The TGG guys are more than willing to work with him to see if it can or can't be done and how to do it best.
That fan curve over the lake on Raven? Yup, from the defunct Hercules. That wiggly hill near the ending of Raven? A save a tree moment :)! The Insane Latterals of Legend? Yup, Beast was a factor. The use of Woods and terrain are both natural to HW and taken from a variety of coasters past and present.
What you end up with is three of the most intense yet thrilling and totally rideable coasters. No wonder they may be ranked 10-5-1 next year :) and the 10 is a easy #1 for me everytime I ride it :)
To many smilies for one day.
Thanks again HW
Chuck, whos gonna take a night off, go back to work and then spend 8 months anticipating the improvements.
Or maybe they are leaving out just one more surprise. Maybe that section of the track with actually be trick-track. I can hope can't I?

I honestly believe that by the time a train clears the lifthill, The next train will be ready for disspatch.

There will probably be a block there but I doubt it will be used unless the first pre brake isn't cleared.
Precisely my thought Chuck. Based on the video, it looks like The Voyage was designed with an extra block at the end of the ride to accommodate three train operation (much like Magnum). That's why the mid-course section puzzles me. Better extra-safe than sorry? I suppose we'll all know next year!

PS) Paula, how much is does the average house in Santa Clause cost? I might be in the market to buy before 2006 comes, and also, do you guys have "Life Passes", cause I'm willing to pay! lol
On a real note though, Holiday World has exceded what I thought they could and would do, and they get a 100 out of 10 in my book...
I was just hoping for more than just 1 rollercoaster and 1 (maybe 2) flats in the new section. I figured 1 coaster and at least 4 or 5 flat rides.
But we have to save something for 2007, 2008, ect! Do I hear "Powederkeg" anyone?
Im also not saying those other parks didn't try to do a top notch attractster but pushing the limits isn't always the right Beast to choose.
Chuck
I was going to type up something in all-CAPS EXPRESSING MY EXCITEMENT.
That is, until the drool shorted out my keyboard, and I had to go buy another one :)
All I can say, simply, is that I continue to be in awe of that park in Santa Claus, Indiana. Thank you, and see you next year!
.
Oh, and my friends from the United Human Interface Manufacturers Local 6442 thank you for your support.
Thank you Holiday World!
