Are you the bigger dork for being pi-percent sure, or am I the bigger dork for noticing?

LOL, Maddie! I didn't think anyone would notice. :)

Well, told ya', Intamin...

It's going to be a rip-off TTD clone, even as the pictures show, is going to have the alternating launch track colors.

I agree. What can they really do with only 2480 feet of track ? Not much. Storm Runner has a fairly low top-hat and a few other elements and even THAT needs 2600 feet. With the size of the supports and given length, I can't see anything other than a near clone of TTD, another one-trick wonder.

I just heard some of the SF webcast and they said something like "We will have exciting new ATTRACTIONS @ our largest park, SFGAdv. ATTRACTIONS, probably a dueling one.

A Dueling Rocket? LOL. Why would they build a duling? I'm sure that half of it would just sit idol all season. They can't even run both sides of the duel tracked coasters that they already have.

I agree, Legendary is a dork, but I think that I might be the bigger dork for noticing that his Pi isn't correct past the 2.

What you'll do for free stuff on Pi day (3/14) in HS...
3.14159 26535 89793 23846 26433 83279 50288 41971 69399

That's as far as I remember without cheating and looking it up online.....

Edit: Realized it was correct up to the 2, not the 9

If so, then SF has sucker written all over their foreheads. Have they not followed the saga that is TTD?

I'm sure they have, but for a project this big, they probably signed the contract BEFORE the Dragster problems became apparent. For all we know the Six Flags execs have been sitting there watching Dragster unfold thinking "Oh s***, what have we gotten ourselves into?"

No... They have never known what they've been getting themselves into... ever...

Suddenly, for some reason, I have Weebl and Bob running through my head...

Thanks Joe! (/end sarcasm)

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

It'll be just like Jumpin Jack Flash and Evolution. If you're really lucky (like win the scratch-off lottery lucky), it'll be open the day you go.
I think you guys are taking this a bit too far since we're all coaster fans. The average person, who makes up a MUCH larger percetage in Great Adventure's attendance, isn't going to approach this ride and say it's not as tall as Thrill Top Dragster. They're going to say, "F*** that's High!"

Also, this isn't new technology anymore. I'm sure Intamin has fixed what ever was wrong with TTD for the installation of this coaster.

Also, why would Six Flags get a clone of a Cedar Fair ride? All the Batman, Superman, Medusa, Deja Vu and other clones surface in Six Flags park so this CAN'T be a clone. I'm sure this is going to have a layout far different from TTD and Storm Runner.

Didn't we say the same thing about Xcelerator, or am I suffering an acute case of Deja Vu? ;)

Seriously. DV's are still broken. Vek flyers are still broken. Impulses are still unreliable. Other rockets are not reliable.

Why wouldn't SF clone a CF ride? CF has cloned SF rides before and SF has cloned rides in other parks before. TTD has a relatively small footprint and is a very publicity friendly ride. Not saying it will or won't be a clone. Just saying that your reasons don't make sense.

Stick 5 extra feet on the top hat and you've got yourself a winner.

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

Is there a chance that the ride wouldn't be full circut, somthing like Superman at MM?...Frontwards and backwards, perhaps?

Just an idea that I had.

By the way, I dislike the colors very much...Cool pics though.

Sorry for the fragments.

You guys foget how the industry works. The papers could have very well been signed before Xcelerator even opened. There IS a couple year turn-around time on these rides.
This is not what SFGadv needs another launch coaster that does'nt run. They have yet to get the chiller to run right for the past 5yrs. I haven't seen a intamin coaster yet that does'nt breakdown. If CP can't get theirs runningwhat makes you think SF will?I don't think theres even going to be a Coaster Celebration this year, which is B.S since I have attended the last 6 years.
You have a point AJ. I wouldn't be surprised if the Chiller was moved to another park pretty soon. Another launch coaster seems pretty redundant. Then again, great adventure is the king of redundancies. Two coasters named batman, they used to have two ferris wheels, and two yellow coasters side by side....ok so that was a stretch, but redundant nonetheless.

Fate is the path of least resistance.

I think that Intamin has fixed the problems, and TTD might actually run better next season, although with all the crap about GADV's operations I have been hearing I seriously doubt that it's gonna run to the expectations of you guys.

We don't even know if it's a rocket coaster yet, do we?

What I would like to see from Intamin is a inverted rocket coaster, kind of like Volcano.

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

We are about 99.999% sure its a rocket coaster.

Look at the track and supports on site.
