GADV Intamin Rocket Track on site

Cool color choices. All we have to do now is wait.

Is it just me or does this Intamin quad rail track look different than the track from the other Intamin launched coasters ?

I thought the same thing Kris, but I think it is either launch, or breaks track, with out all the hydraulics fins in it.

Where are the pics of this track?

[Never mind. Found em.] *** Edited 8/11/2004 12:48:34 PM UTC by joe.***

Glad you found them, how about a hint for those of us who have not found them yet?

Well, told ya', Intamin... ;)

It's going to be a rip-off TTD clone, even as the pictures show, is going to have the alternating launch track colors.

If so, then SF has sucker written all over their foreheads. Have they not followed the saga that is TTD?

... but Hershey has/is doing well with theirs. Yes, it isn't 420' high, but I assume that Intamin made some changes before Storm Runner in order to prevent the mishaps of TTD.

This coaster will start off much better than Dragster.

The colors are a lot more gnarly too!! :)

Fate is the path of least resistance.

Can someone explain to me where exactly this is in the park? Or point me to a pic with the overall site? I haven't seen one yet.

kthnxbye ;)

It is in the plot of land just next to Rolling Thunder. Between it and the Season Pass lot.

Opposite side of RT than Viper.

I just heard some of the SF webcast and they said something like "We will have exciting new ATTRACTIONS @ our largest park, SFGAdv. ATTRACTIONS, probably a dueling one.
but every other piece of track most be every other color, not just the launch. since even the "flat" track (not boxed) is diferent colors, and are we so sure that the what i'm calling flat track is just round .. or does it bend in two directions? if so its not like TTD *** Edited 8/11/2004 4:01:49 PM UTC by skipper747***

Yep, just like the speculation that TTD was going to be a racing rocket... I will believe it when I see it.

TTD Clone, my word.

[98.5% sure]

Thanks, Shag.

I guess the only thing to figure out now is what kind of rocket coaster this is going to be, considering all of the different lay out possibilities. Pretty remarkable that the first 3 are all so different.

I was going to, but I've seen a lot of suspicion on here of people that post links to sites, thinking its advertising. I'm sure you found them by now though. :)

And also, I agree with a few of you, on that it looks a little bit *off*, Intamin-wise.

AmusementPics is my site, and I have not been advertising it on here or asking anyone else to do so. I just happen to be thefirts person to get pics up of the footers whenthey first arrived and now the track. That's only because I have no life and I'm at SFGAdv every 3 days!
Perhaps they will have multiple stations and that's the reason for the double color on the "turn" pieces of track?

Also, are you saying this is going to be a 120mph, 420ft tall Intamin Rocket, Rctycoon2k? Anything else would not be a clone...just wondering. :)

Hey! That's my line from the other thread!

Don't rob me of the ability to take jabs. ;)
