No one seems to see that most people who *didn't* sign up for TN and have relatively new email addys (for the sake of running away from spammers) that they've only used HERE (and some not even then) says something totally different.

Wow, I'm trying not to call you names. I really am. Between the black-and-white statement and the hundreds of people here who've not signed up for any other site other than CB (my wife included... are you now suggesting she's lying to me?), I find it astonishing that you can even continue posting.
Whatever dude... go over to TN and tell them how great they are, and what a man Westerman is for his lack of direct replies to my direct e-mail and the direct questions we've all asked him.

You know, Jeff told me that I need to have a beer with him to get to know him. If anyone wants to get to know me, all they have to do is say "what's up?" Best of all, it's free, and you don't risk getting pulled over for DUI on the way home for having too much beer (think of the costs of getting to know Jeff then)? Free over several thousand $$$ in fines, costs, and fees, plus a suspended license? Which would you choose?
This is getting funnier and funnier, and showing just how funny idiocy can be, especially when they have to resort to spies to find out what the staff are talking about on their site and mail bombing. With that, you just rendered what TN did moot because of your own actions. You're down to their level and possibly below with those actions.
So, maybe silence does speak volumes... maybe they are silent because Alex might be gone for the 4th, or maybe they are silent because they see what childish actions you all have accomplished? Ever think of that?

You should just drop the whole thing while you're ahead, Jeff. You never justified the actions of you or your members with the 300 spams to Alex as well as the threats of DoS, as well as having a spy on their site. Jeff, you are so low... you and your sites should be shut down, and maybe I will start with the methods that you used in order to try to get TN shut down.
If you can properly justify those actions of you and your members to me, right here, right now, I'll leave you alone. If not, maybe the FBI would be interested in you perhaps? After all, Mail bombing and intrusion are both criminal offenses last time I checked.

If you'd bother to read the thread (Oh, the irony!!) you'd have noted that nobody actually bothered to send Alex any spam, nor am I ever serious about anything. With that clever knowledge, and using your very own patented Leap-of-Logic technology (have a beer != DUI and thousands of dollars of fines), I'm sure you could've parsed that I was joking. I sure as Hell didn't DoS them because I had better, more exciting things to do -- like correct the Coasterbuzz Glossary for an hour or so. If someone else did, it's not Jeff's fault and it isn't mine, either.
I'm not making policy here, I'm enjoying my free time. Sheesh.
If Jeff or I or anyone else sees fit to be a fool, we're entitled. That doesn't make what really happened -- the invasion of my privacy and the unnecessary abuse of Jeff's site -- any less wrong.

So you know, there's also the crime of being an accessory to the fact. The simple fact that you're fostering discussion and basically encouraging such behavior is enough. So yeah, that's why I am bring to light the problems. If you want to ban the good guy, so be it. Coasterbuzz will just go down on its own.
Go ride a coaster, and have a happy 4th and just forget about it.

Uh-oh. In that case, I'm completely screwed. I had a whole pitcher (yes, pitcher, god bless the bar we went to after the Queensryche/Dream Theater show tonight) of Long Island Iced Tea(s) to my self tonight. I'm still feeling it. Nevermind we had a designated driver tonight, lock me up for life folks, because the Evil Liquor (tm) passed my lips!
But more seriously, I am SO amused by this whole thing, on both sides. In the grand scheme of things, yes, this was one more unsolicited email. Yes, we all get tons of them. But that's precisely why so many people are so upset -- people are fed up with the plague, and for once can figure out where it came from. Is it any surprise there's a backlash?
Why the hell do some people always reduce it to "Jeff's a bully"? All Jeff originally did was ask if anyone else had gotten the email. Any email bombs, etc., that have happened since then, have nothing to do with Jeff (or myself, or any of the other CB staff). Give me a frelling break. I don't give a rat's behind one way or the other, EXCEPT for the idea that a coaster site may have been harvesting email addresses. The question of "why" STILL remains unanswered. If it never gets answered, fine, I don't really care, but I also won't be visiting TN. I'm sure they don't care either, but as from my end that's their loss, not mine.
