Did you get e-mail from ThrillNetwork?

( | ) Which cheek? Cause from where I'm sittin' the moon is full! ;)
I got it. It really peeved me. I reported it to Yahoo! as SPAM.

Does this Alex Whatshisname actually expect to get new members through SPAM?! Ha! Smooth move genius, smooooth move. Good job murdering your own website!

Oh, and there is no apology for idiocy, so this Alex character should probably consider himself on more than a couple of people's <insert expletive>-list. However, I have to admire him for making more enemies in one fell swoop than I could in my entire life. That's brave. Dumb-brave, but still brave. :)

Maybe it's just me, but my spam seems to have doubled in the past couple of days. I also got the TN newsletter.
Maybe, you are just trying to lie and make a bigger mess out of this by throwing out accusations that TN sold you e-mail addresses.

Amen Seth!

I'll agree with coasterphil and say that, no I don't think I've gotten anymore spam lately, and you may just be blowing this to bigger proportions. However, that still dosen't mean they won't sell it, even if I personally think they won't(I do doubt they will try it), but the fact remains that they did something bad by harvesting the emails. He probably did make a mistake in sending to the wrong list, but A) he shouldn't have had the list in the first place, and B) why does he still have the list if he didn't intend on using it?

Tis my brother...LoCOsuMo...or as you go here CoastaPlaya. Why do you post here then post on the site you bash as if nothing is wrong? I could swear your allegiance is to this site, it is painfully obvious.

Attention Junior Detective....perhaps you should use your magnifying glass for setting ants on fire. You'll have better success with it.

Loooong before there was a CoasterBuzz at all, there was a certain full-of-himself jackass who chanced upon a message board and decided he had something to say. Since he was at a public library and only had a limited time to type at all, he picked the quickest thing that came to mind. That name--by hook, crook, blind chance, whatever you wanna call it--was CoastaPlaya.

It was my name on URC. It was my name here. Matter of fact, it was even my name on a young, once-promising board named CoasterForum. Use your search function. Look it up.

Why on earth would I change my name? If anything, I should register it with a service mark or something. When the post is preceded by my name, you know what's gonna follow--love it, despise it, however you feel about it--you still know, don't you?

I'm deeply insulted you'd insinuate any poster or combination of posters there is even half as clever as me. You oughtta know better!

Apparently in the Old Testament, "feet" is used as a euphamism for male organs. (like when Ruth lies at the place of Boaz's "feet")

Just thought I'd add a little more fuel to the "cheeky" fire.

Just to clarify, I was not quoting scripture or suggesting anything, I was quoting a line by Kitty from a rerun of "That 70's Show" last night. Good Lord, I suddenly feel like I walked into a fire with a bale of dry straw.

(Opps, probably shouldn't have said Good Lord either. Might incite a riot!)

As opposed to being crucified? Sorry, somebody had to say it...
Sorry Drewbie, I don't have Cable, and don't watch That 70's show. I though you were just trying to fuel the fire, and I hope you will accept my apology!:)

TS - "That 70's Show" is on Fox, which broadcasts over the airwaves like the other major networks. No cable needed.

Coasterphil,

I'm not saying that my email address was for certain sold...but it could be sold, and that's what bothers me.

Actually, Moosh, I don't have any channels, I live in between 2 mountains, and can't get any TV stations.

:) But that'll be rectified as soon as I move next month!

I got the email too and I sent it to AOL's CAT. I hope Jeff sues the pants off these people. Over 99% of the email in my box is spam and I'm about ready to quit using email becasue spamers rendered it useless.

Say, have you ever seen this TV ad for Nestle Crunch where a guy gets awakened by a telemarketer? He steps on a plane, flies to her office, snatches the phone off her desk and stomps it to pieces in the middle of her stupid, annoying little call.

Why can everyone relate to that? Hmmmmm? Cuz everybody wishes they could do it themselves.

For SwillSpamNetwork, that day has come. You spam, we stomp. You whine about it, we stomp harder. Get it?

CedarPoint Mark, so you operate on the foundation that because others do something, that makes it ok?

And because you seem to be clueless on this...you are probably getting the mortgage spam because...GASP...you may want to purchase a house rather than rent your whole life. Oh, the humanity....who ever heard of someone who rents actually taking the next step and buying a house? "Down with the mortgage companies...I want to spend money my whole life and have nothing to show for it! How dare they...."

But to travel back to the topic at hand...the spam is not the main issue here....it is why they harvested our email addresses. You can stop with the "it's just spam" argument, the discussion moved on from that pages ago.
