DDR bug has hit hard

I liked USA myself. Great mix. I wish that it had more songs though. As for the one at Knott's in front of that arcade? It's a Korean mix, correct? If not, I need to brush up on my language recognizing skills. *Snickers*

Ah, Crossgates....Good times. That is one big mall. Back on topic...I played Extreme at SFMW on Sunday. I love extreme a lot its got a bunch of great songs. I passed "V" on heavy after 3 failed attempts.

Some songs that i love playing on extreme also are the Oni remixes such Matsuri Japan, Afronova, Wild Rush, Drop Out, Sexy Planet and others. Even though the game says they're from &th mix i never found them on MAX2 so i'm enjoying them on this mix =)

Kel, I'm not sure but I don't think the Oni mixes were selectable in 7th mix... they could be played only as part of the Oni course.

The only Oni remixed I've played are Sexy Planet and Hysteria 2001, both of which are pretty cool. I think I get Hysteria 2001 every freaking time I play Nonstop Random.

I was at SFMW on Saturday...me and my friend played DDREx to get the #1 scores on the oni/nonstop songs...

Look for TIGR & NKRI

...

I'm a what and the what what?

Err...if you're reffering to the initials for me and my friend.. That's not leet speak. DDR only lets you put in four letters when you get a high score, but it's understandable that you didn't know that. I wouldn't have expected you to. =)

Just a 'lil update on the situation here, last time I posted I was having trouble with some of the harder light songs. Yesterday, I finally passed Max 300 on light, although it was a close one... Moving on to standard now. :)

Hey look this thread again.

It should be called Den's personal bump-fest hehehe.

Yeah, I think I rescued this thread from pg. 3 land about a dozen times. ;) I TOLD you I wouldn't let it die!

Congrats bull guy! Although I DO personally think you should tackle a few more 6ft. light songs before u make your way up to Standard, unless you're familiar with many 6fters. Then in that case, head over to Standard.

As for me, i was sooo close to beating Para Survivor on heavy. It's just that last part's insane, man...streams of arrows at 270 bpm...

arrgh, i will pass that song!

Yeah, there are a lot of heavy songs that are easier than Max 300 standard.

I finally passed Orion 78 the other night. That leaves just Max 300 and Gradiusic Cyber as the only two on DDR MAX I can't pass. GC is only an 8-footer, what's up with that?? Although I am happy with myself that I can beat Drop Out heavy now. I think I said earlier in this thread that it is impossible to me. :)

Nice work, Den :) I'm still working on Para Survivor, hehe...also...once i find an Extreme that's unlocked i'm gonna try out Xenon, because i downloaded the song, and it's one of the best DDR songs i've EVER heard. Period.

Den was falling off on his job of keeping this thread alive, so I guess it's up to me.

Actually, I had to boast. I was playing DDR over the weekend and my son walked by, stopped and watched me (I was doing Let's Talk it Over, Heavy). I got a B on it and he said in amazement "wow! When did you get good?"

Now, I *know* i'm not *good* compared to most of you (and compared to him). But for my teenage kid who can do the 8 and higher footers to give his old mom a compliment is high praise, indeed.

Thanks, CPLady!

Now I will brag on behalf of my wife. The other day when I got home from work, she dragged me downstairs, saying she had to show me something. She played "Midnite Blaze" light, and everytime there were 4 jumps in a row, she did a spin. She was quite happy that she had accomplished this... and this is a person who, 2 months ago, rolled her eyes and groaned at the very mention of DDR. :)

LOL that's too cool! I wish my family got into DDR, but it doesn't look likely...they just watch me play sometimes ^^;

oh and just a lil addendum..

I beat Healing Vision: Angelic Mix! w00t!

Kel, I have gotten many of my friends interested in DDR, but the two people who *refuse* to play are my two brothers. I don't know why they're so freaking stubborn; they won't even try it. Losers. ;)

Congrats on passing HV:AM! That's such a great feeling hitting those last two slow steps after you've just completed that 30-second long run of straight eighth-notes. And knowing exactly where the stop is looks really impressive, too. :)
