DDR bug has hit hard

sudden > hidden

{

sudden.player = = crazy;

hidden.player = = talented;

while ( natalie=crazy)

{ john = = talented}

if (rob = talented)

{ rob != crazy}

else { rob.practice++}

}

Translation for non-nerds: players of "hidden" are talented, while players of "sudden" are crazy. While Natalie is crazy, John is talented. If Rob is talented (in other words, playing "hidden" he is not crazy) then he is not crazy. If he's not talented though, he needs more practice.

Please excuse my meager C++ skills, it's been a while...

I think "hidden" is pretty easy, because by the time the arrows disappear, I'm already looking past them anyway. Now "sudden" is a different story. I find this impossible. I would like to try the mode where the two players' steps complement each other, but I don't know how, or what versions it is on.

btw in case anyone is following, I *did* get a PS2 for Christmas, but not DDRMAX. So I'm going to buy it Sunday (parents-in-law staying until Friday and I don't want to freak them out, then going away until Sunday night). Woo-hoo!

Okay...I don't know if you know this, but on the internet, there is a game called "Flash Flash Revolution." I was wading thru the topic, and someone mentioned something like it, but seemed like it was something you had to buy or something. So, I thought I'd post the link of the online game. If it was already mentioned, I apologize, but I don't feel like reading 14 Pages on DDR, when I haven't even played it before.

There are plenty of songs to try, and its fun. Its hard when trying to use the Up, Down, Left, Right buttons, gets confusing, but y'all will be better than me. I've only beaten Arcade Mario song. Thats only 2 difficulty.

Enjoy!

FINALLY received my hard pad through Cyphergames (had ordered in in October!) on X-mas eve! Sure beats my madcatz pad. I am hoping it helps me improve somewhat as I am still on 4-5 foot songs.....
John, can you show your nerdiness any more? How about some if then else statements? Perhaps we can multiplty in hex next?

BTW I am moving up in the world, this past week I have max Comboed both DXY and B4U. WOO HOO!

Uh Brent...

John did do an if...then...else. Granted it was in C++, but it was there, nonetheless... ;)

I wish I remembered everything I learned in the Philosophy 150: Intro to Logic class I took in 1998.

I think I am obsessed with Maxx Unlimited and Tsugaru. I've had those two songs running through my head for a week nonstop.

if (Tommy = understand)
or (Tommy.MaxxUnlimited = A.or.better)
{ Hell = Frozen}

Great experience at LaserQuest today... Some peeps were already playing, and one of the guys said it was alright to have a game with him. I did so-so on some 3-4 step songs, but surprised the hell out of em when I passed Maxx Unlimited (albeit with a C). :)

Go to Google.com and search for "Dance With Intensity". It's a ddr simulator program and you can download basically any song from any mix for it online for free. You just need a 8mb gfx card to play it.

DDR has been the hit of my entire family's Christmas. After reading about it in this thread, I went out yesterday afternoon and used my Best Buy gift certificates to get it and a mat - between my parents, grandparents, girlfriend and I we played for about 6 hours straight until the Pitt OSU game came on. Then I played for 2 hours last night! Thanks for indirectly giving my family the hit-gift of this year all!!

Damn, all this talk I might have to go out and buy a 'pad' and one of these games. Its gotta be good if there's 14 pages of talk about it!

I was never really good at DDR until I went to Boomers yesterday. I actually spent some and got practice. It's really fun......now to get a PS2 :)

This is awesome. I don't think there's ever been a video game with such broad appeal.

I'm gonna make my 55-year-old parents try it when they come to visit next weekend.

It's just too bad that the online culture of some of the hardcore players is so lame and juvenile.
