DDR bug has hit hard

"Punchlines?" Is anyone laughing?

I feel like Derrick Whitsett or RollieCoasterFan or something, what with the verbal abuse. If this abuse continues, I might accidentally post, "CP's new caoster???" or "Why was my post deleted?????"

I got one more for you: I live about 400 miles away from Chicago and my folks live about 300 miles away in the opposite direction. I don't have any idea whatsoever where you pulled 'Chicago' from. Actually, I have an idea exactly where you pulled it from, but there's young posters around...

I just got DDRMAX the other day. Very addicting stuff indeed. Can't say anything about my DDR skills yet, but at this rate, by summer, I might be able to play publicly without a look of shame on my face after I don't pass. :)

I am really loving this game.

I was having a hard time passing all the songs in "standard" mode. Now I only have trouble passing one and that is Max 300. Last night I passed Orion in standard for the first time and it kicked my @$$. Just ask Neil Rupp. LOL.

Whoa!!! How on god's green earth did I get brought into this topic?? I dont even play DDR (But I am spectator). :)

Well, the secret is out. Playa and Chitown are long lost half-brothers. If you dont believe me , just check out this pic of our 2nd careers.

2 superheroes in Gurnee next season? Oh the humanity. :)

OK, the bug has hit me hard. I played the game on Saturday night at the arcade in a Muvico theatre (Central MD) and I can't stand waiting to play again. I'm thinking more about playing this game than riding a rollercoaster. Now I'm scared! Everytime I go to school at UMBC, I think about making the 15 minute detour to Arundel Mills to play the game, if they let me in without seeing a movie of course.

I have never played an arcade game that has made me want to come back so much. I'm going to end up spending a lot of money on this thing whether I plan to or not.

Praise DDR!

Catching the wonderfull disease of Mono in September, my off-season started 2 months and two weeks ago plus. But don't feel sorry for me, my summer Rocked! I really can't complain.

Uncle! Uncle! Okay you win Chitown!

Can everybody go back to confusing me with 2Hostyl? Okay, Wesley Snipes? The guy on the Cream of Wheat box? Mycke Phrease in a Jheri curl wig?!?!?

Where the hell has Hostyl been? Does he (gasp!) have a real life?

Playa - how about Uncle Ben? ;)

As far as DDRMAX goes.... don't have a PS2 yet. But it's the only thing I asked for for Xmas, so I better get it!

See, there you go again--pushin' that envelope a little bit further. Yesterday I would have said, "How 'bout yo momma's new boyfriend?" but I promised to be nice today.

So *you're* my momma's new boyfriend! I was wondering why the closet door was always slamming shut as I walked into her house. And why the toilet seat was always up.

**bites her tongue...the pain is much less than trying to verbally dual with 'Playa**

I am improving my DDR skills, and getting a major workout at the same time. I'm working on aceing the 4-5 footer lights, and have started training on the standards. But, geez, I cannot imagine doing Max 300 and 5.1.1. on heavy like my son can.

I just hope to get to a point where I'm not laughed at when I play in public.

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

Oh, well...guess I won't be needing this. (Puts down copy "Middle Age Joke Encyclopaedia: Volume I: First year at my job")

I was waltzing through most of the five-footers last night without too much trouble. I think I only failed one and even got a 'B' or two on first try.

I really regret not purchasing PSX-Parallel adapters when I ordered the Ignition pads. I really need to get BeatMania on my PC up and running so I can prep for PIU @ VF.

Since we're sort of back to talking about DDRMax, I have a question. Has ANYONE gotten through the "Oni" courses? I mean, I can handle some of the 4 and 5 footers on light (which isn't saying much!), but to do a set of 5-plus songs, nonstop, with arrows flying in directions my feet can't quite keep up with... well, it's quite a challenge. If you get less than a "Great' on 3 steps in one song, that's it. Game Over. Just curious if anyone has mastered this and what the reward is for doing so.

(No, I do not live in Chicago. Please check your Guide to CoasterBuzz's Black People. You have me confused with 2Hostyl, only he doesn't live there either.)

I'am a black man can I have that guide!? I don't live in Chicago but I live in New York, let me know when that comes out.

ProgRay - I once saw a guy nearly finish an Oni course in the arcade (DDRMAX2). He had a 750-combo going, and was having no problems, until some jerk shoved him off the stage, and he lost immediately.

I don't think the ability to move my feet is the issue... it's the ability to process the arrows on the screen. I have no doubt my feet can move as fast as they need to, I just can't "see" all of the paterns when you get into the crazy eighth-notes.
