Raven-Phile, I personally love the 2nd gen trains. I see way to many of the 4 across trains going out with 1 or 2 empty seats on multiple rows. From my experience many GP think all coasters are 2 across seating and I have seen a group of 4 break up only to have 2 rows with 2 empty seats.

I also think that there is a major epidemic of cooties at amusement parks. People just don't want to sit next to strangers. A properly run station with 2nd gen trains and a single rider line can all but eliminate empty seats.

I would imagine that the 4 across trains are much shorter then the 2nd gen trains and would not need as large of a station especially if they have a separate load/unload area. The shorter trains I would think are als lighter weight and thus would change the rides dynamics as well as lesson wear.

I don't know why, but the difference between Diamondback and Nitro to me is amazing. I absolutely love those original trains.

I can't say I blame people for not wanting to sit next to each other these days, with people's bad attitudes and not caring about others around them, that's just what happens. I've seen SR lines work out on the 4-across seating (Apollo's Chariot was a fine example at one time), so I'm thinking if anyone can do it, CF can.

As much of a CF fanboy as I am, I'm not sure where you get that idea from. The Maverick single rider line (SRL) isn't even used half the time because they don't always have an op at the top of the stairs. Plus, it doesn't benefit the individual very much when you can't get to the line until 10 minutes before you'd be on the ride anyway.

The I-305 SRL was scrapped less than half way through the first season due to improper management of the lines length.

The Diamondback line is also gone. It's now being used as a Fast Pass line.

Not necessarily with a Single Rider Line, but a B&M "hyper" with 4-across seating instead of the new trains. I'd certainly expect them to be able to pull it off.

Carowinds gets great use of the SRL ( single rider line for those playI g along at home). Oh, and Josh, from what the B&M rep said at coasterstock last year, I doubt you'll see the older trains return.

I prefer 2nd gen trains too.. CW solved the emtpy seat isssue last year. Behemoth trains never have an empty pair of seats... Only emtpy seats are single rides. The wings are for people like us, and the tight seats are for 1st time riders, teen girls, and assorted other GP.

If you look closly at the logo there is a shadow of windseeker to the right of its left eye... only noticable with a light background. It indicates thats this ride will be taller.

I still don't like the new trains. Or Krause.

Both are fine... Behemoth is my favourite B&M Hyper so.... I just love the roomyness of the wings.

SFoG's Goliath runs the old trains, as does Apollo. Might be layouts, but I've yet to really *hit* either my butt or the lapbar on any of the rides with the new trains. Gotten some seriously nice floats, and a few fairly crunchy landings in the back rows....but I have to believe at this point that the new B&M train design reduces the forces imparted to the ride. Until I ride something and get a different experience, I like the old 4-across trains better in terms of forcefulness (but I do appreciate the better views from the new trains).
