And maybe Kingda Ka. I hated it enough that SF clones most of their rides, but now they are cloning sombody else's ride ( and throwing in a bunny hop...reeeeaaaallll cooool. not!)
WOW, Kingda Ka a flop even before it opens?
I think the Traver Cyclones could be considered flops. The Crystal Beach ride lasted 20 years, but was more popular with spectators then riders, and the other two lasted less then five years.

And riding it would be the same as TTD, so why would I waste time and money to travel to SFGADV when I'm already going to CP? And plus, TTD has a better environment around it.
At least it will only have the record for about 1.5 years though :-)
As far as Mean Streak. It has never been a flop, it really suffers because of it location in the park. It's stuck in the "nothng happening" side of the park. The only time I ever see that area of the park busy is on tremendously hot days, when people want to cool off on the water rides.
I, for one, can't wait for the Italian Job to open...looks awesome to me!

Maybe it will flop, maybe it won't. I just see it useless how TTD is only 30 feet shorter and SF is marketing it by saying-"The world's tallest coaster... By far."
You do know TTD became the world's tallest coaster by being just 5 feet taller than S:TE?
followed by:
It doesn't seem fair that Kingda Ka gets world records by cloning TTD.
You do also know KK has a brake at the top of the top hat and an airtime hill?
I wouldn't get so worked up over a marketing line.

Then stay your happy ass home! Who cares.... really!! Tired of the fan girls whining about losing the record, Jeez!

For those who missed it, the definition: a coaster that never ran reliably and wasn't embraced by the public.

Fine by me, one less person in front of me on line.
Orphan Rocker in Australia.
Other than that, just Syracuse and Kansas. ;)
"Would you like to buy a photo of you boys enjoying the Line Ride?"
"SBNO since 1983" !!!!
"It is believed that the ride may be completed in the future"

I'm surprised noone has thought of this one, though it did just come to me.Orphan Rocker in Australia.
No they're still building this one. It still has hope. ;)
RC-48 - even when Morey's was packed and with 3 trains on the course - very few would ride and now it's finally gone (might've been at least an interesting ride without OTSRs, but we'll never know)
Flashback/Z-force - I did finally snag the credit a few years back at SFMM, but I remember multiple visits to SFGam and it was always done and now it seems like another SF lawn ornament. (again, might be interesting without the OTSRs, but doubt that'll happen at SFMM)
Hercules - bad design to begin with, bad multiple reprofilings, and then bad brakes - hopeless
Windjammer - already been said, but let us not forget - it jammed in the wind!
Viper @ SFGadv - will not be missed - even on the most crowded day - not many would ride and those who did suffered!
Volare (multiple locations) - okay, it's not an official flop yet and I'm definitely a fan of many Zamperla products, but this thing is a nightmare...I'd say it's days are numbered. It's only plus is that is evidently a low-maintenance machine.
Best,
