Just some pictures of the "Wacky Driving Machines" I wonder how much all that scenery costed. Its amazing it never ran. Just eye candy ;)
i'm not sure what to put here..
Me personally? Only seen it running twice in six visits since it opened.
Then there is that one in (I think) Edit: South America by Intamin that never got an electrical system and still hasn't opened.(Vertigorama)
Then there is that one in Australia that still hasn't opened...(orphan rocker) *** Edited 3/19/2005 5:49:06 AM UTC by TeknoScorpion***
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Just cause you, him, or her don't care for it, I wouldn't necissarily consider it a flop in the terms we've been talking about here.
I have heard many mixed reviews on SoB, but have never ridden myself. I am going to try to this summer, but we'll see what happens. From what I have heard and read about it, I would consider it a flop of a ride.
If you goto any park on a busy enough day and look at their biggest ride, you can see lengthy wait times. The wait time does not necessarily reflect the quality of the ride, but rather the will of the person who wants to try the ride.

SFMM and SFGAm's Deja Vu's were open all summer and the one in Germany hasn't had any problems.
I think that one in Europe is in Madrid/Spain (For a moment there was hope - a Deja Vu in Germany? But no.......)
:)

Ditto for X
The Vekoma Fliers were made pretty irrelevant after B&M introduced their version. Stealth didn't even stay in it's original location 5 years.
Drachen Fire was given up on and demolished
Ditto Wind Jammer
Ditto Hercules
Ditto Bat
Ditto Viper SFGADV maybe
Flashback/Z Force as stated above
Those coasters listed above that never opened *** Edited 3/19/2005 10:46:01 AM UTC by john13601***
If there is a Deja Vue in Germany, it must be the best kept secret of the amusement industry.
I am pretty sure you meant the one in Spain (I know, I know... all this euro-confusion :))
Anyway, the chances to get a ride on Stuntfall are iffy. The ride suffers at least 50% downtime (from what I have heard and experienced myself).
I would add the first suspended coaster "Alpenflug" (1974) on the flop list as well. It operated for a measily eleven days before it was scrapped, shredded and melted down.
Deja Vu, the biggest mistake Six Flags ever made, IMO. It would have been fine if they built 1 prototype till they fixed up all the bugs, but they built several, all of which have terrible downtime, and when they do run, they can't keep the capacity up to a decent level, so it takes forever to even ride it, and usually by the time you get to the front fo the line, it breaks down again. All Deja Vu's need to be torn down, its defintiely a coaster I will not miss if gone.
Creating Disaster Transport...I still scratch my head over seeing that big building prime sandy beach...and to still say "Welcome to Alaska" with no snow theme what-so-ever.
Windjammer...well, it at least looked nice.
Superman Ride of Steel SFMM pretty much insert any SF ride here that can't run reliable.
Following the last one...any "Racing" coaster that doesn't race. If you have a "freakn" racing coaster and you marketed as such...MAKE IT RACE! This goes for PKI, SF, CP, etc. I understand if the crowds of low one side is fine, but during the middle of summer...put on a good show.
I even go as far as saying Wicked Twister at CP. That caught many people off guard when they said they were building that during the "Impulse boom." I still wonder why the park built that. I think Troika has more of line than that thing on some days. ;) While it might be a fun ride, I just don't see why the park built it, and why they built it over there...compared to what could have been?
Just to spark the conversation.
