Compare construction at CP and Xcelerator

Very nice shot!

That is a nice shot. I also think this will be an awesome ride but way to short. I know that the GP does care if they wait an hr for a 15 second ride because PKD has a longer line for Volcano but not a real long line for Hypersonic. I think it will effect us more though because I loved Hypersonic but thought the wait and the shortness ruined it. I think the new CP ride will be like Hypersonic and pack a punch but be very short.

Has anyone seen the massive bug they're placing on top of the tower? I can see why they needed two cranes, that's one HUGE bug!
Maybe the new ride will be like Xcelerator, 1/3 of potential riders say "thats it", 1/3 are too scared, allowing the other 1/3 of riders to wait in a 30-35 minute line on a summer saturday when Ghostriders line in over 90 minutes.
If it's 400 ft tall, there will be a lot af people who will be too scared to ride. There are still those who are too scared to ride the MF.

there are those that are too scared to ride MF but the line is still the longest in the park almost 100% of the time

quit complaining about stupid things like spelling and abreviations. It's not worth it.

I think the "disappointment" could be that the ride may have shoulder harnesses, of course I'm just guessing on that. Right now the fastest coasters: Donopa (sp?), STE, ToT, SD, and MF ALL have lap bars, which is very cool.

Just looking through the pics at Virtual Midway and there is another set of parallel footers inside of the ones lined up with the tophat. ????? More than L-TH-B?

You are going to have maintenance/transfer track if there are more than two trains so I wouldn't make too much of that. Also, there are going to be footers for the station.

But maintenance/transfer track doesnt take 8 footers... Also, notice in the photos that those footers are closer to the launch side than the brake side.....

Also, the pictures give away one of the rides "surprises" Take a look and see if you can find it :)

I hear a train a comin'
Comin' round the bend :P
TR2k3....GET READY!

This thought has crossed my mind several times as well.

We'll all find out soon enough, I guess.

chris, whaddya mean by "soon ENOUGH". If it was soon enough, we'd already KNOW by now...;)

Seriously, if there's only ONE thing this ride will be faulted for, it won't be the restraints....that would make TWO things....
