CoasterBuzzCon at SFGAm flyer posted!

Raptor Pilot, I dont know if you have AAA or not but the hotel I'm staying in has a AAA room open ( 1 King Bed) for $71.10 and if your not a AAA member it is only $79. That isnt a bad price. The reason I got my GREAT deal is I booked it a LONG time ago when they had a special running. I hope you go! You will have a BLAST!
Scratch it. SFGAm has too many coasters the kiddo can't ride. 6 out of 11 she can't ride just won't do.
Awwww come on you have to go! hehehehe besides if your "kiddo" is young enough I would like to meet up with you guys and take a spin on Spacelys with her or him! hahahaha I want to ride it but I dont know anyone with little enough kids :)

I will admit that is one downfall of this park. They have to many coasters with a 54" height requirement. Probably more than any other park.

I should add that we need a couple dozen more people to register, and do it soon. If not, I won't make my minimum of 80 people and I'll be paying out of pocket. That's not much fun.

Both me and my wife would love to attend.... however, I cannot get the time away from work.... what a shame. Any other day other than Saturday would work. It just figures.

All my employees know what a coaster nut I am and if I even considered calling off of work I'm sure I'd get busted!

Best of luck in getting the minimum # of participants met. I'm sure you will get the support you need.

I just sent it the details out to my co-workers...I don't know if any will sign-on but I am trying...

Jeff, I'm going to send in my information and money Friday. I just need to see how many people I'll be paying for.

I was planning on attending with a few friends, but a family situation has come up that is causing quite a few of my coaster plans (Con, possibly SRM) to go down the drain. I'd sign up if I could, but I can't commit to being there. I'll probably be in Pittsburgh.

Chitown and 'lil-chi' will be sending in the form by the end of this week. Now you only need 22 more people. :)

If you book through Hotwire, The Hampton Inn in Gurnee is only $55.00 a night. Then if you book directly from there website, they have a special "Hit The Road" rate of $59.00. The Regular rate, I believe is $79.00 a night.

Alas I will not be attending as I am singing at a wedding on the 17th. BeastBuzz and HW are definitely a Go though.

I want to go so badly, but the hubby still hasn't found a job and I can't justify the cost right now. Paying my bills is more important.

I consider myself lucky that we are still going to SRM.

You should be getting my registration forms in the next few days... :) I can't wait, I think it will be cool to actually meet some of you in real life.

Don't Fight It, Ride It, RAGING BULL!!!!!!- Six Flags Great America

Spacely's Sprocket Rockets here we come! Add 4 more! Somehow the girls decided they wanted to go even w/ the low 48" and under coaster ratio. Needless to say, we'll be riding lots of other rides, so we'll probably do 2 days. Looking forward to Raging Bull and S:UF.
This is in place of SRM though. HW will have to wait 'til this summer or the Sept. event.

Lumpy, good to know about hotwire. Only way to know what hotel they'll give you before hand is from other user's reports. So thanks. A friend that works for a travel agency can get me a room there for $60, so hotwire is pretty darn good. I've never actually completed a hotwire transaction. No problems?

Sorry, even more off topic, can anyone recommend good places to look, shop and eat in Chicago? Since off topic, feel free to email me instead.

Add two more (maybe four) to that number...forms will be sent out by tomorrow!

Well, for shopping, Gurnee Mills is right on the other side of the tollway by Six Flags. Its a huge mall with everything you could want.

For Chicago itself, I would recommend for places to see: Shedd Aquarium, Field Museum(which has the biggest complete dinosaur named SUE), Museum of Science and Industry, Sears Tower sky deck, Navy Pier, Lincoln Park Zoo. Plenty of other things to do in the city but the ones mentioned above come to mind.

Cool, thanks Chi. We're looking for things in Chicago itself.
We have a mills mall (Shopryland) here, so I'll pass on it.

NoLimitChic, I dont see why not.

YIPPY!!! lol. seriously if you would let me that would be cool! I need to get as many credits as I can and since I dont have any kids or know any I'm borrowing other peoples! (Pathetic!)
