I used to take those big blue, gray and yellow trains into the great state of Chicago. That was when I lived in Fort Wayne. I never made it that close to SFGA though. Yes I did call it a state, If you ever ran a train into there you would agree.... State of Confusion.

It took me 12 hours to take a yard job from Barr Yard to Yard Center and back. What is that 5 miles or so?

I checked out taking the Cardinal to CBCon. I couldn't get a train back to Cincy and the bus trip was not an option either. So I finally decided to drive.

All you have to do now Dave, is get the train to stop at you house.......

I have a similar problem here. I get called for a train, drive in to Queensgate Yard (CSX Cincy), then get into a cab and we drive to New River Yard (north of Hamilton) and I board a train for Lima, Ohio. The bad part is that the north end of the yard is behind my house. Same way when I pass home on a southbound train, 45 minutes or longer to the yard and 45 minutes home. The good thing is I know were I can stop to grab a quick bite or something to read.

Thanks Dave, but I am set on driving right now. I may go out and visit Union while I am there. Also are you going to eat your "Pancakes" at 60 mph?
