CoasterBuzzCon at SFGAm flyer posted!

Jeff's avatar
I just posted the registration flyer for CoasterBuzzCon at Six Flags Great America. Good news... we scored pricing for season pass holders!

http://www.coasterbuzz.com/club.htm

In addition to the ERT and lunch, the PR staff tells me they're working on some "fun extras," so stay tuned for that!

I had to front an enormous deposit for this event, so please register post-haste if you plan to attend. Also note, and I stress, there will be NO ON-SITE REGISTRATION. The registration deadline will be strictly enforced.

Hope to see lots of people there!

Count me in...I just printed it up and am letting some of my coaster friends know...

I want to be the first to say, "Thanks, Jeff, for all the work you put into this event and this site."

EDIT: I am still drooling over the thought of one whole hour of ERT on S:UF.... SWEEEEET!!!!

Yea!!! I am printing it out now as I type. My money will be in the mail tomorrow!
Jeff I have a question, my brother and I plan on going but he doesn't have a screen name on Coasterbuzz. Should I just leave that area of the form blank?

I thought I read from you that it was to expensive to fly into Chicago. :)

This is my first post, Im new to these boards, but I was wondering, do you have to attend with a club member? Also, how many people usually attend, I saw that another user was flying in to attend this event, so it seems pretty major. I live fairly close to the park, so I should be able to go, I just wanted to know how many people to expect, and whether one of the people in my group needed to be a club member or not. Thanks!
I'm there Jeff. Will send it in once I get some money. I hate being a poor college student :(. I look forward to meeting you guys

From what I understand, you do not need to be a club member to attend. As far as how many people attend CoasterBuzzCon, this is only the second one, and it is at a different park and a different date than CBC2002, so those variables make it hard to guess. But it shouldn't be such a large group that you would have much of a wait during ERT.

Ohh well.. another event I can't attend.. No chance I could get a Saturday off work once the season has opened.

Won't stop my support for the site though... If I remember.. I'm supposed to re-new my account soon.. hehe

Have fun everyone..

You need not be a club member to attend, you just pay more.

There should (or better) be at least 80 people, otherwise I've gotta pay out of pocket for the difference. I'd rather not have that problem!

I've had my flight booked for a month now. :)

Can we combine the payments and mailings for BuzzCon and BeastBuzz?

Jeff,

Will the name tags be a little more durable than last years'? I remember my name tag (and quite a few others' too) falling off/disintegrating long before meal time...

Yeah. Not positive yet, but I think I may do lanyards, because they're more or less waterproof and you can tuck them in a shirt.

Scott: Yeah, you can send one check with both forms.

It is. From Pittsburgh, anyway. Last night out of curiosity I decided to increase my search radius a bit, and discovered that I can fly from CLEVELAND to Chicago that weekend for a full $200 less than Pittsburgh to Chicago.

There was a time when I wouldn't have bothered with such games, because it would have meant putting my butt in an airline other than USAirways' seat, and I have preferred status on USAirways. However, with the magic of the new United codeshare, that Cleveland-Chicago flight IS a USAirways flight. I'm going to develop a real love/hate relationship with this codeshare arrangement... ;)

(As long as both airlines remain in the sky, anyway... :( )

The whole Pittsburgh to Chicago thing is a real bummer now. I *have* to make that flight twice a year (my entire family lives in Pittsburgh), and it can be a real drag on the wallet! Two years ago I was flying round trip for $91 (tax and service fees included) on AirTran. Man, do I miss that!

Hopefully I'll be able to make it to the event. It looks like a good one.

I have what could be a stupid question. Last year when we went to SFGAm, we discovered we could upgrade to a season pass for $10 after we purchased our daily entrance.

Can we do the same thing at CBuzz con? Or will we have to purchase an entirely separate season pass?
