CoasterBuzzCon at SFGAm flyer posted!

CPLady.

Best bet would be to purchase a season pass from SFGAm online or by phone before the event date. That way you will have the voucher when you come to the park. You can probably just pay the $26.00 to get in to CBCon instead of $56.00.

Scott, that's exactly what Josh & I paid, although we're on United instead of Continental.

Looks great Jeff! I might even need to send in 2 forms, since I may get more than 4 people going. Is that alright?

That's cool with me... but I do have to ask that you do the $2 shipping charge with each form, because I'm mailing you tickets, the SFGAm accomodations brochure and your name tag credentials. .37 stamp isn't enough!

I will be there and will be joining Coasterbuzz Club too. I can't beleive you got SFGAM to have an enthusiast event. ACE hasn't had a event at SFGAM in long time. Well Done and don't worry I am sure their will be more than 80 people attending this event. Hopefully if this is a success you can have an event every year at SFGAM like you do with PKI.

Actually Mike, SFGAm had an ACE event in 1999 and in 2000 so it wasnt too long ago. Those were also 2 great events with ERT on Raging Bull, Giant Drop, Batman, and American Eagle (fun night racing ERT) in the 2000 event, and ERT on Raging Bull, Giant Drop, Viper, Batman, and walkbacks to Eagle and Iron Wolf in 1999. There also looks to be another ACE event at SFGAm later on this summer as well, though I have no details on it right now. Have fun at CBCon, Ill probably be working at some ride in the park that day so say hi if you see me. :)

I can't wait! I am def. going to be there unless I suffer a serious inuury the day before... ;) No but seriously, I really want to expierience ERT since I never have before. Especially since it's S:UF!

I'm trying to talk the GF into going to this. Can anyone tell me what I can except to pay for a hotel in a safe area (but nothing fancy) near the park? Any hotel recommendations?

Roughly around $50-$100....and most of the area hotels are in a safe area. Gurnee is not typically a place to worry about crime generally speaking.

I'm staying in the Baymont Inn 1 block from the park and it is only $49.00 a night...with a free Deluxe breakfast with waffles and french toast. It looks like a VERY nice hotel.

Hmm. Could walk to park from hotel and forgo rental car. But taxi between Midway & hotel could be more than a rental for 3 days.
A taxi from Midway to Gurnee? Nahh, I would opt for the rental car.

I should add that we need a couple dozen more people to register, and do it soon. If not, I won't make my minimum of 80 people and I'll be paying out of pocket. That's not much fun.
