I can't believe that with all the work Jeff puts into this site, people would suggest it's a scam.  Not wanting to join the club is one thing, but even suggesting Jeff's trying to scam his users is incredible... (and I don't mean in a good way!)

Jeff, are some of the old features of Coasterbuzz going to be deleted for the members who are not part of the club. I saw on the Coasterbuzz Club page that members will have access to things that the regular non-paying members, such as meeting calender and track record. Does that mean that you are not allowing the regular non-paying members to be able to have a track record anymore and not have access to the meeting calender. Can you please verify what changes are being made to the site that the regular members may not have access to anymore.... thanks.

I know he puts a lot of hard work into this site.  I DO know that.  But what I want to hear is him acknowledging that he will make profits from it.  I love this site and I know he is one of the most dedicated webmasters around but this is something I am expressing my opinion on, like CB is meant for.

For all of those who don't want to pay, don't.  This site will still be available but with loads of ads.  I personally like this idea and welcome it.  I'll be glad do pay the $20 to join and look forward to other events that are probably in store!

I'll join when I get the money.  Anything to help out my favorite web site.  :)
Jeff,

I'm 15 years old and I don't have a credit card. How would I be able to pay for the club when I don't have a credit card?

God please let SFKK get something in 2002. ANYTHING!!
Jeff, this is a great idea.  I can't join right now, but I will when I actually have money so spend.  but could you put up some info on those discounts that you mentioned.  what parks will accept them, can they be used by non-buzzers, are there date restrictions, etc.  'cause I get a season pass to Six Flags, but some of my friends don't so could I give the discount to them or not?  also it would be nice to have a general list of which parks give the discounts and how much they'll take off for us.  thanks man.

I am #23 but hmmmm it wont let me on the page yet maybe i have to wait.
I can't believe the negative replies from some people...gees people...this sounds like a win-win situation for both Jeff and all who choose to get involved.  For those who don't want to pay, don't...your Coasterbuzz experience will not be lessened!  This will definitely be worth my 20 bucks, and whenever the check form gets online, you can count me in, Jeff!

Actually it will be lessened, no meeting calendar and no track record.

No credit card? Jeff said that he was getting a check payment system soon. No checking account either? Nobody that would give you a check for cash? No parents? No relatives? Then you have no way to pay for anything on the internet, period :)

Could I make a profit? Sure, it's possible if I get more than 700 members, but I'm not going to get my hopes up (and that doesn't count costs associated with the cards, and other expenses, not to mention the $8,000 or so I've spent on hardware and software in the last year). I'd love to do nothing but run the club for a living, but that's not realistic.

I'm working on a mail-in form for you non-credit card folks... hang in there!

It's a great idea Jeff! Anyone who's too cheep to pay a simple 20 bucks for such a great site don't deserve to call them true Coaster lovers. I can't wait to start my new job and get my membership!

Yea it was VertiCord, or we got a memo once that said RipGo... We all liked VertiCord though so that's what are crew shirts say.

Bon idee!! I'll be the first member...when those mail-in forms arrive! Thanks for the cool club and I wouldn't miss ERT at the best park in Ohio :) for anything! I can trust that this isn't a scam, but I do understand if at the moment people outside of the Ohio area are a little iffy about joining. I would hope that if PKI let us 'take over the park', it would be fairly simple to get ERT at the other Paramount parks, so people in Cali, VA, and NC, chances are good for a CBCon near you. I would think the only parks that would be difficult to get ERTs at would be the Disney parks(although I doubt that would be a problem with the thrill buffs we have here;)). Oh yeah, how much more would it cost for not only ads, but posts like DejaVu SFMM 2001's to vanish as well? Just jokin'!
