Bah, if all you're gonna do is gripe, we don't need you here anyway.  People lose sight of what's important so easily when money's involved.  There's been plenty to say "Hey ok, it's not for me, but if it's good for you, so be it".

Listen people, it's a done deal, and everyone who's signed up has nothing but positive things to say about it.  Jeff hasn't set up a class system where it's US vs. YOU here.  Enjoy CB with ads if that's your cup of tea.

By the way Jeff, hows membership coming along?  I'd love to have a way to keep up with the total.  I'm excited for you and everyone involved.

$20 a year to keep this site going without those #*&%@!?! pop up ads seems worth it to me,even if I can't attend the ERT events.( I live in Portland,OR,one of the most coaster deficient regions in this nation)I pay more than double that amount for ACE membership dues. However,if Jeff decides to hold an ERT event at the PNE/Playland or Silverwood,I will make every effort to attend.

I feel your pain in Portland. It's the only thing that keeps the city from being, quite possibly, the best city in the country. I love it out there!

CPlaya: 1) We'll develop guidelines for events, but right now I see it working like this: ERT events are free if that's the arrangement with the park. You can bring one guest per membership. Paid events (which more than likely will include food) will have member and non-member fees associated with them, probably not more than a few dollars apart from each other.

To disconnect the process from the site, I think we'll do mail-in family memberships, associated in expiration with the master site membership. $5 per family member. Does that sound fair to you?

2) I'm actually on the phone regarding that now... and it looks likey. Stay tuned.

"As far as I can tell it doesn't matter who you are. If you can believe, there's something worth fighting for..." - Garbage, "Parade"

It all sounds fair to me. However, I live in Phoenix and Castles n Coasters is the only place within 350miles. Please DONT setup an event at C n C! I'd rather drive to L.A. :)

Im #95. Jeff, can you push me to #100???? jk :)

Glad to be part of the new community. Your course of action was RIGHT ON! Feel free to contact me if you need any assistance. I'd be glad to help out where can. :)

I would expect to see more people joining as more events are planned.

Don't look down-Oblivion
SLCs kick arse (when smooth).
Actually, Coaster Zombies was $15 this year...their prices went up.

Mayday - Memorial Day Weekend - Nonpoint, Nickelback, Oleander, Staind
Ozzfest - June 8 - Drowning Pool, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Black Sabbath
Awake Tour- June 15 - Darwin's Waiting Room, Puddle of Mudd, Deftones, Godsmack

Dang it, PT300, I was gunning for the #100 spot!  (got #101 though)  I personally love this idea.  How many web sites go belly-up every year?  It's a lot of work and a lot of time and expense, I'm willing to do my share to keep this resource available.

If you're skating on thin ice, you may as well tap dance.

I would be almost half-tempted, if only for the sake of avoiding these stupid pop-up ads.  BUTTT...I'm not that interested, as I only pop in here maybe once a week anymore.  In light of everything that is happening in the world now, I have no business worrying about discounts at amusement parks, and special roller coaster clubs. *** This post was edited by Aquila on 11/1/2001. ***
