CoasterBuzz is proud to announce the launch of the CoasterBuzz Club. With an annual membership of $20 per year, members will get access to an advertisement-free version of CoasterBuzz, access to special events and discounts at select amusement parks.
The first confirmed club function will be at Paramount's Kings Island in the 2002 season, where construction continues on the mysterious Tomb Raider: The Ride! CoasterBuzzCon 2002 is sure to be a great time!
Check out all of the benefits and join today!
My post was directed directly at posts like Deja Vu's. If you feel it's a scam GET LOST.
Besides, keep in mind that you're also supporting the site. 38.4 cents a week seems pretty reasonable to me.
Regarding spreading the love, that love costs a grand every month. Perhaps $20 isn't worth it to people, and that's fine. I have no problem with that. However, to a lot of people, it is worth it, and they'll join.
There are small regional clubs that have one or two outings a year and put out a quarterly photocopied newsletter, and they even cost more. Our medium is the Internet, and every membership helps foster that community. As the community grows, so will our events.
Remember, if you're not interested, that's fine. I'm really OK with that, and I'm not hurt. Let the rest of us enjoy it, however, and look forward to all that the club will be offering this year!

While I really would love to be able to participate in special ERTs and stuff I won't pay 20 bucks. So I'll leave it at that and live my life as a free-bie.

As I said, I'm not offended if you don't want to join. That's your choice. However, when you start calling it a scam, that's defamatory and baseless.
The benefits are listed on the club page. Either you find it valuable, or you don't. If you're just looking for a way to get into ERT, then this is probably not the club for you.
And yes, we are considering some events in SoCal. Stay tuned...

14,000 a year-700 members/12months meaning if you get 60 members a month or say this month you end up getting like 100 then at an average of around 50 members a month for the biggest coaster site out there you are still going to make money. Plus the money from the ads even if it is low that cuts some money back too.
And to make my math sound right. If you get 60 members a month meaning 2,000 a month minus 1,166 equals 834 dollars. Say one month you get only 10 member meanin you only make 200 dollars. Then is that 834 dollars left over going to go towards making up that profit?
If you get a lot of members joining do you have plans on lowering the price?
