CoasterBuzz Club Fall Affair 2005 at Holiday World!

Seriously... how many places on the form do I need to indicate that you have to fill out the form completely? I'm not going to charge your credit card without a billing address.

Did you have this much trouble with the other event registrations?

Hey Jeff--

Welcome to my World!

I can't tell you how many brochure requests we get by email ... with no mailing address included.

Or those who ask a specific question ... but don't give me "permission" to email them back, so my reply bounces back, undelivered. It's especially gratifying when I receive a second email a few weeks later from the same person, lambasting me for "ignoring" their question.

And my personal favorite: "Would you email me directions to you park?" ...and they don't happen to mention where they live.

Paula :)

Jeff,
Being one of the offenders, and seeing as how I'm not the only one, all I can suggest is a little redesigning of the form next time. Put the description field (name, phone #, etc) underneath the line that you want filled out, and list street address, city, state, and zip as different fields. This should be harder to miss than 'complete billing address'.

Paula sends word of construction tour details...

1. The tour will begin promptly at 4 pm and conclude at 5 pm CDT. (No stragglers!)
2. Gather by the fence to the east of Raging Rapids...on the far side of the Pepsi Oasis.
3. Must have on a CoasterBuzz Club Fall Affair name tag on to take part.
4. Must stay on the white gravel road; please use a little peer pressure to assure that everyone complies.
5. Absolutely no "souvenirs."
6. Holiday World staff members will be stationed along the road; you're welcome to stay and chat or move along to see more. Either way, return to the "tree" at the start of the tour by 5 pm.
7. Please plan on no "potty breaks" during the hour; exercise your freedom to consume Free Unlimited Soft Drinks accordingly.

Will we be allowed to take pictures during the tour?
Absolutely.

Thank you, Paula, for the answer. :)
Rachel and I just walked the "trail of fears" and took some photos for the HoliBlog.

I literally screamed when I caught sight of the 90-degree curve.

I ain't ridin' that thing!

Paula (not with my eyes open, anyway!)

LOL...We'll get you on it. If anything it can't be worse than your triple ride on the Legend in the back seat during ERT after the Golden Ticket Awards in 2002.

Coworker: "OMG...what is that noise and where is it coming from?"

mOOSH: "That's Paula screaming as she rides Voyage....some 1,500 miles away at Holiday World!"

LOL! Thanks Paula for going to get those pics. I still remember when I posted a pic of TGG's first 90 bank turn in the original tease thread and asked if the ride would look like that. I think you said something about no clones. The Voyage sure ain't no clone, but it's still funny.

If you look in this pic: http://www.holidayworld.com/images/return_lg.jpg

it looks like that 90 degree turn will eventually be in a jumble of supports which should be a great effect.

Those supports aren't in the video though. I like going through supports, but for a steel-supported coaster, I don't believe Voyage will need that extensive of a structure. I hope I'm wrong though!

Jeff

Now that the deadline has passed, what is the final count??

145 or something like that.

145 / 4 trains = about 36 people in line per train during ERT. Considering the 4 trains on Raven and Legend can accomodate 24 riders each and the fact that we seem to be fairly evenly split on which coaster we prefer, I bet we'll get "CAC amounts" of rides durring those 3 blissful hours in the dark, dark woods. :)

Depends on how much pizza you eat, and if you do a protein spill for not letting it digest. :)
