Paula said to pick up your registration materials at guest relations if you show up late, like I am going to be doing. I hope to be there by 2 pm.

All right, sweet. Thanks.

Can you believe it? The day has finally come, well almost. I can't believe it's all ready here. This event will hopefully be the most awesome-ist thing I have ever done at Holiday World.

Last year at this time, there was only a very small GP crowd. Good luck and have a great time!

...and it's gorgeous weather!

Just finished recording the podcast (general public kept wandering in ... they wandered back out again). :)

So sorry you weren't all able to join us...

Hope you're having fun. Wish I was there! I checked the webcam all during the tour hour but didn't see any of you guys. I was hoping for a group wave haha.

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
Well, as Napoleon would say, I had a flippin' sweet time. Got to meet some of you all, and I even got a Raven road wheel. Sweet. Ride Count: Legend-18; Raven-9. Sure, not as much I would have liked to get, but I still had a really good time. Hope there's an affair there next year!

Yea, you got one of the big ones- how did you lug that thing around all night? The smaller tracking wheel was wearing me out just being in my back pack!
Well, my poor dad was lugging it around when I was ERTing. Actaully, he was sitting down the whole time (he doesn't like marathoning like I do), so I guess it wasn't torturing him the whole time. But I did have to carry it all the way to the car at the end of the night--UGHHH!!!

You know it was a great event when you're hoarse, sore and exhausted enough where you're not sure you're up to another day of riding for even a few hours. "Wow" pretty much sums up 10am yesterday to 2:30 am today! I had so much fun with everyone there and half the reason I'm sore is from all of the laughs. The rides were cranked up to "11" and everything from the weather to the food was perfect. Thank you to everyone at Holiday World & Coasterbuzz for the event and to everyone that I spent yesterday and this morning with I can't wait to hang out with you all next spring.

Have Fun

Only a hint that he will be one of the first to ride the Voyage!
At least those fried Allen-Bradley PLC boards were light. :)

Good times, good times.

The construction photos on the Voyage don't really give you the full scope of just how much forest there is around the thing, and how much more there is still to build. This is gonna be an interesting spring...

^Yes, they still have A LOT to do before May, but I have a feeling it will all be finished before the 6th rolls around.

Oh yea, did any one else hear Will say the see-through tunnel that will be in the que line? I think I understand the concept, but I'm not 100% for sure. Will the line be next to the tunnel as well as on top of it?

We just finally got home back to Michigan and unpacked. Man we had a blast - to say the least, first time at the park too. My wife and I had a great time and got 13 Legend laps in and 11 Raven - could have gotten way more than that, but HW first-timers and all we were out to take the whole park atmosphere in and check out everything.

I can't say thanks enough to CoasterBuzz, Jeff and all our fellow CBuzzer enthusiasts for such a great time. We of course can't overlook the staff at HW and how friendly, courteous and fantastic hosts they were. The fact that they were just generally enthused themselves that we were there I think made it even better.

The Voyage looks like it will be freaking awesome. The tour was great and I'm definately looking forward to giving that a few laps next spring. :)

I just want to thank everyone at HW as well as other C-buzzers for making my 1st ERT event something I will not forget. I had a great time and thank all those who took in the "new kid." I hope to see all of you soon.

Now that's Gummo...
The wife and I had a great time! The Legend and Raven were running excellent, with loads of laterals and air. As the night went on they just got better and better!

It was also nice to meet some CBuzzers face to face (I won't drop names, you know who you are) and the dinner was delish and the auction was fun.

Thanks Jeff and all the great folks at Holiday World! It was great to be back, and we will be there next year for Voyage!

First off, MANY MANY thanks to the staff at Holiday World for a GREAT event! Rebecca and I had a blast! That's probably the best bang for my buck I've had all year. It was great to meet many who's faces I had not known before on CBuzz. We're also now the proud owners of two fried control components from the Raven!

I tried to take my many photos and make a thorough description of what's been built so far. You can see them here.

Just in case that doesn't work:

For those who weren't there, what has been built so far are the foundations for the half of the ride closest to the station, half of the lift hill and first drop, the first valley, and a small portion of the return run, including the second 90 degree turn.

Again, Paula, Will, Mrs. Koch, THANKS so much for a great day!

As everyone else has said - Thanks to Jeff and all the Holiday World staff for a great event.

I can finally say that I "get" Raven now. Somewhere in those 15 ERT laps I fell in love with that ride. I was going to be there sometime in 06 for The Voyage but now I am pretty sure I will be there EARLY in 06 for Voyage, Raven, Legend et al. *** Edited 10/3/2005 12:25:35 AM UTC by DragonRider***
