Cedar Point's Blog is teasing us!

Why couldnt they just add a new kind of ride that they took out?
MajorTom is right - we're getting a 500ft Demon Drop replacement. ;)

My favorite is when people tell other people what they should be excited about, and what they should not.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!

Wow! 30000 views, 500+ replies over 17 pages - all for a ride that won't open for another 13 months or so.

That's hype...or silly...no, no, it's definitely hype. :)

FOR THE LAST TIME, I don't think we're going to see a 500' coaster!

I think it's going to be TWO 500' coasters. With inversions. And water effects. And lap bars.

;)

^^Go Up two!

Hey, when I start a thread I mean business! Nowwhat the hell was this one about anyway? :) *** Edited 3/28/2006 7:05:40 PM UTC by LdScotsman***

You have disturbed the forbidden temple, now-you-will-pay!!!

Indeed. :)

I just don't see cedar point pouring footers for a family ride (or even an entire family area) this early. Besides TTD have there ever been footers poured this early at cedar point?

Or a 500' tall FLUME....

Take THAT, Perilous Plunge... :)

I wouldn't mind seeing 2 or 3 new coasters there

No. Not Even TTD. Mid April of 2002 was when the tower foundations were poured for TTD.

You want something for Kinzel to go out with a bang for and a big coaster. Think about this, i know we got to have some people here that know business and particularly this business. Wouldnt a legacy go with something that he did for families and establish this park for everyone, not just a mecca for coaster lovers paradise. Because going back to the beginning the family is what goes to the park over individuals, if he can do that without a coaster, then thats what i see him doing. I never question his business sense, because he knows what has worked and what hasnt, also doesnt he have a family. The man has bled the business since he was young, and has seen things change and i think he sees the demographic slightly veering to the family, because he has tried this year with mostly all the parks they own to lower prices and even offering cheaper prices on some things like cotton candy. Therefore that being said, would you drag a two or three year old toddler or maybe slightly older child on a coaster that would scramble their brains.....I think not.

If he does go out with a bang then it wouldn't just be a giant coaster. I can see a new kiddie area, a new thrill ride (like a huge riptide), something new for the water park, and a decent coaster.

Now that is a bang. If you were Dick isn't that what you would do?

They need a "new" waterpark, not just an addition. Soak City = weak.

Ive never been to Soak City but from what I've seen it looks far from "weak". *** Edited 3/29/2006 1:03:58 AM UTC by P18***

Compared to MiA and HW water parks, Soack city=*weak*

I'd rather die living than live like I'm dead

^^^I'll add SFNE's water park to the long list of water parks that put Soak City to shame. Not to mention its included in park admission.

Although I'll take a chance to rep for SFNE's waterpark every chance I get. 100% underrated.

Yeah wouldnt that be interesting to add something to the waterpark, cause i think it looks weak although ive never been there, besides they have the off premises indoor one, so i mean it trumps the whole idea. Although SC is cheaper by comparison, but i think castaway bay has a better image already.

He holds some delicate cards with people on this site who would love to see another record breaking coaster, but Dick is the man, he could very well be looking like a Walt Disney for this park. He changed the landscape of that park to be a world class place, what a good dood.

I also think it to be a good idea, to add a new family area there. Since we all agree it won't be a "Titanic" of a coaster, I would be satisfied with 4d, with a good duration. :)

Ahh, I'm going to have to go ahead and ask you to come in on Sunday, too...

A footer poured this early? OMG, of course I see it now...it *has* to be something REALLY REALLY REALLY huge. There can't be ANY OTHER reason!

Yawn.
