Maybe the chances of the browns winning a super bowl, quick someone find the odds on that.

Apparently most of the posters here have PHd's in English, and they expect you to live up to their expectations. Even the slightest misspelling will be scrutinized if you rub the right person, the wrong way.
And here I thought this was all about rollerCoasters
1. Spelling & Grammar usage:
There's a difference between a typo (which we all make) and chat shorthand ("r ne of u lamerz?") People like to read real, spelled out words, with capitalization and punctuation. You don't have to add pointless emphasis!!!!!!!???????!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE IS NO NEED TO SHOUT, we can hear you just fine. Please utilize your shift and caps lock key properly. Respect for the English language is important, and that means chat shorthand is not welcome.
This is a site about coasters. It is also a community of people and in any community there are standards by which all must adhere to.
So, yeah that track piece is rather interesting. It's gotta be for some kind of braking or launch system or perhaps some other mechanical device required for this new ride. ;) *** Edited 8/30/2006 5:50:45 AM UTC by Acoustic Viscosity***

... when I saw that thing sitting in the staging area, I think about the very last place I thought it would go would be inline with the rest of the track. I'm stumped.

There is such a joy some take in correcting others.
We take joy in a community that is filled with thoughtful, entertaining, engaging conversation.
When someone comes into that community with poor grammar, and ideas that may be a bit off base, we're just not going to let things slide down to that standard. I can think of a few coaster sites where this guy would fit *right* in but at Cbuzz, it's just not going to last. Sorry.
For Mean-Streak, I have rode the coaster after a good rain, and it's ONLY then of which the coaster actually ran smoothly. It flew on the track and felt better than ever! Once the track swells from the rain, the train hugs the track that much better and rides good... otherwise, it's so painful, that I literally have to take some drugs afterwards to ease it & make it the rest of the day there.
For Maverick... Cedar Point isn't known to introduce new train styles. They may have SLIGHT variations on the trains, but nothing extreme or different. A floorless won't make sense because it rises too high off the track vs. a traditional sit-down and would be coming awfully close to those support beams & even track itself.
The only trains that make sense are traditional sit-down trains with a light shoulder harness that you can feel very comfortable, yet secure in.... overweight guests need not apply, unfortunately.
I still say some kind of traditional lift will be involved... cable, chain, or even a slow LIM to the top (is that possible?).
But there was a show a while ago, that talked about lims, and I believe it said, you can control the frequency of the negavive and positive charges. But I can't remember if that's entirely true. But I think another cable lift would be fun.
And Dawgbyte, do you think this is the coaster that Cedar Point will allow the overweight hefty crowd to ride. Because MF and TTD are pretty much for the healthy-sized population. *** Edited 8/30/2006 12:55:47 PM UTC by BANDandDCI***
I agree that some of us are total asses about correcting people sometimes. I'm sure some of it is intentional, but often times it's not. It just comes across that way due to the limitations of this form of communication. Don't let it get you down. Keep on posting your thoughts. Just show respect for THE RULES. :)

Definately not for people with back problems.
Not necessarily. I've had back surgery and I still ride Mean Streak and Son of Beast (well, obviously not lately). Neither one bothers me. But, I'm not about to quit riding coasters until I exit one and my back aches. FYI, I have two titanium rods in my back and if I happen to get injured, then so be it. I wouldn't sue a park over this unless there was a defect in the ride, bad maintenance, poor materials, or fault of the park in some way. Sorry, guess that was a little rant. It just bothered me the other day when someone had said in another thread that anyone with a pre-existing condition should not be allowed to ride. I know of mine and I know the chances I take. But, isn't that what life is all about? Taking chances?
