have you seen some of the turns? And physics? They use the banked turns because regular turns at high speeds had high lateral Gs, and the banked reduced the. The turn i'm thinking ofd, is more than the average turn being nearly perpendicular to the ground. I don't think that turn will be slower than 50.

It depends on what you mean by "fast."

I don't think the ride is going to have floorless trains but at what speed do you think "too fast for floorless trains" is?

i'm not against fast floorless trains, but coasters that hug track, are tending to be fst moving coasters. and I don't remember the length, but I think there has to be a certain distance between the rider and the track.

B&M has built floorless coasters that run about 70 mph. Is there a reason B&M could build a "fast" floorless coaster and Intamin hypothetically couldn't?
if you're comparing, you can't exactly compare farly, unless the coasters they built were similar. B&M coasters are high off the track, where as intamin coasters are low. There's a difference between a 3+ foot clearance and a 1 foot clearance. I wouldn't rule out that intamin can't build a fast floorless coaster, but I haven't seen many companies trying to copy one another. B&M have their coasters, and intamin have theirs.

Intamin hasn't really built a floorless coaster, though, so if a park were so inclined to order one from them, the train would obviously be a new design. We have no idea what they would look like or how they would function, or how high they would potentially be relative to the track.

As for other companies copying eachother, B&M built the original inverted coaster but Intamin, Vekoma, and even Giovanola have built their own versions. The similar holds true for flying coasters, and hypercoasters, and watercoasters, etc etc etc.

I still don't think this is some sort of floorless coaster but your original post implied that this won't be a floorless coaster because it will be too fast, or even possibly as fast as Dragster. Just not going to happen.

Oh, I thougt as much. but I figure people would understand, and tie things together. should have made it more clear. yea, maybe companies, have copied a bit, but I mean, it's not like Intamin to follow the trend that isn't it's own. I'm about to upload my pictures onto the internet, and link them, here.

Stand-up coasters, hypercoasters, launched coasters, wooden coasters, inverted coasters, and several water rides are listed as products on Intamin's official site.

I don't disagree that Intamin have been real innovators in some respects but all of these rides had been seen before Intamin built them in one form or another.

And what puts Intamin on the map? The fact that these coasters that inamin has built are about 25 million, and how does it stay competitive with the other companies than by building their own rides. Not all parks can drop 25 mill every 3 years, so Intamin needs to have products that allow those parks who cna't afford those cosaters, to purchase coasters by intamin that are different types. I'm not ignoring the fact that Intamin is designing their own twist on coasters, but you have to admit that Intamin has their type of coasters.
Earlyer someone said that Mean Streak was really rough and painful and I was wondering how painful it really is.

I have riden Psyclone at SFMM 3 times in a row and that was enough to make me get off. That is the roughest ride I have been on. Can you use that as a bench mark to compair it to.

Thanks

Top Three Parks: 1) Islands of Adventure 2) Bucsh Gardens Europe 3) Six Flags Magic Mountain
i've ridden Cyclone, and I think Mean streak is worse. Cyclone was actually a fun ride, except for the fact that after it rained the coaster bent really bad, but Mean Streak is CRAZY ROUGH. but I road a couple smooth rides. but that coaster is rough. Definately not for people with back problems.

Can you please fix your spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, etc. Thanks.
So I get home from work and see several new pages to this thread. I get excited. Something's going on that is really worth talking about! I wonder what it is? I read through the new pages and am left here with jaw agape. Can anyone pass some Advil?

Yeah is Good!

no, but if you want, you can fix it yourself, so you can understand it. But it's not for me to make it perfect for your liking.

And for the last person, we've gone from why MAverick can't be floorless to whther Cyclone is as rough as Mean Streak.

Can someone tell me what this piece of track is???

I am linking to pointbuzz, I hope that is OK.

http://www.pointbuzz.com/project2007mv0829.htm

I don't recall seeing anything like that on any other Intamin coaster. Have I missed it somehow?

Fever I really enjoy the Simpsons. It's just a shame that I am starting to LOOK like Homer.
^^

Let's just say I'm not surprised that YOU didn't get it.

And no, it hasn't been proven that it CAN'T be floorless. It most likely won't be, but there is ZERO evidence that it can't.

Incorrect. According to the Terms of Service,

1. Spelling & Grammar usage:
There's a difference between a typo (which we all make) and chat shorthand ("r ne of u lamerz?") People like to read real, spelled out words, with capitalization and punctuation. You don't have to add pointless emphasis!!!!!!!???????!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE IS NO NEED TO SHOUT, we can hear you just fine. Please utilize your shift and caps lock key properly. Respect for the English language is important, and that means chat shorthand is not welcome.
