Cedar Point '07 Project

Is that near Idora? Or is it closer to White Swan? While we're at it, can anyone give me directions to Islays? (Pittsburgh joke on the last one there ... )

I meant smoother than what they offer so far..as in Raptor, Mantis, and Corkscrew....although I guess age is a pretty big factor.

Raptor's ok but Mantis and Corkscrew are killer.

Exactly where did I even say Raptor was in the same league as corkscrew?

All I said was that at times all 3 of their rides are rough. By the way, I was in no way whining, I was just trying to share an opinion, in a more mature way then having a seizure with my finger (see the errrrrrrnt) and saying someone is stupid. :)

To add to the discussion..they wouldn't need 14 inversions to get a record, if it's a launched coaster. Couldn't they go for most inversions on a launched coaster? *** Edited 8/28/2006 1:15:22 AM UTC by Kyle Fobe***

It won't be 14.
ok, so, back from cedar point, and i've talked to ALOT of people. Long story short, the chief of something is retiring. He has been planning to build a coaster that'll blow everyone out the water.

Most employees said that they couldn't say anything, or they didn't know, but the ones who did, said Maverick is a record breaker.

Another guy told me, it was breaking the speed record and it would be taller than Dragster.

Right now This is what i've come up with.

Inversionts to date: 2

Over banked turns: 2

Banked turns perpendicular to gound: 2

Straight away supports: 2

Number of track storace areas: 2

Part on the ride: 2???

idk, i'm exxcited, and that CoasterBuzz Cedar Point trip, will be around the time, they said Maverick will be complete. but it'll test year round, until next season.

Y'all realize that the more everyone speculates the longer CP will delay the announcement?
well, the plan isn't to debute it until the end of october, right now, they aren't building up until october. but still speculating is saying that it's a winged coaster, which it definately isn't. but I definaately trust my gather info, as well, as I plan to be there in october.

Someone care to translate the above post? It looks like English but I can't understand it.

Those that didn't know were lying. When I worked there last year, management often had meetings with all seasonal workers to detail plans that wouldn't be started for years. So, I can tell you that the new coaster will have 3 straight away supports, not two.

Good God. Can somebody call an ambulance for BANDandDCI? I think he's having a seizure.

If that was true Moosh, the ride would be open for 10 years and we still wouldn't know what it was called. :)

People? Yes. Us? No.

Welcome back, red train, how was your ride?!

Yea, I was tired as crap, but it was making sense to me, so what ever. I think what I was trying to say was, they plan on finishing the coaster by the end of october. The last day the park opens, they are suppose to do something about reveiling it, or something. But they are going to test it and stuff, so that when next season starts the coaster will be ready.

It isn't a winged coaster, and when I said "build up", that's going veritcal.

But why does CP hire so many volunteer workers? *** Edited 8/28/2006 2:50:35 PM UTC by BANDandDCI***

Back on Beemer inverts, perhaps my favorite type of coaster, I haven't ridden every last one of them, but I think you can't say "Blah blah blah is the best" if you haven't been down to Charlotte to ride Top Gun The Jet Coaster. TWO TUNNELS, ONE FULL OF MIST. A winner is me.

^ TG:TJC and S:KC are the only two B&M loopers in my top-10. :)

Is that like cream chipped beef?

No. Chip-chopped ham is great.

Top Gun, is definately my favorite. and what is S:KC, i'm going retarded, and drawing a blank. My favorite are TG, Kraken in the rain, Mantis in the rain.
S:KC = Superman Krypton Coaster. Floorless at SF Fiesta Texas.

^ The flawless floorless...with or without Superman - (preferably with, I'm a theming junkie) - blows the doors off the other floorless models. (Yet to ride Medusa @ SFMW).

IMO. YMMV. But CF does have a really fine floorless at SFWo, er, GL. Wonder how long before THAT ride finds a new home, maybe even in Sandusky.... ;)

CP '08 project perhaps? :)
