As noted, mike.s., your bashing is immature and completely uncalled for. Just like a little child calling someone out on something that YOU interpret as inane... if you don't like it... two words: SHUT-UP! If you got nothing nice to say, then don't say anything.
I explained what I was told. I relayed what I was told. I didn't say I believed it, but I thought I'd share it because SOME (obviously not you) people here like to hear any kind of information possible from any sources to find out what may be going up.
Hey, I liked the idea, and on Pointbuzz, they didn't completely shut down the idea of a coaster taller than 420' and didn't shut down the idea of a coaster crossing through a ride or two. Proof?

Sure looks like a sweet idea to me!
So before you open your blabbering mouth & bashing me again for stating information that I was just relaying... try thinking outside the box. Locals aren't the only ones thinking a coaster taller than 420' is completely insane or outta the question.
...so I dont need the personal attack when the CP peeps are also thinking along the same lines of the local-dude (well, again, the local-dude read or heard it somewhere... who knows).
Haha Like the comment about Mean Streak. I have never been on it but hopefully get there next summer for the first time to ride it. Is it really that bad? *** Edited 7/5/2006 8:35:40 PM UTC by TonyBlackjack***

It proves that the old man by the sea isn't all that insane now, is he?
No, it proves that that guy on pointbuzz had the time and know-how to photoshop an Intamin coaster going underneath a portion of MF. Nothing more, nothing less.
I don't think that the issue was that the guy was insane or whatever, I think that the issue was that you felt like relating a fish-tale from someone who's only authority on the subject was that he's a "local." I mean there are close to 30,000 other people out there who fit that criteria. I realize you said you didn't really think the guy was correct but you have to expect a bit of ribbing when you come in here relating information from someone who really does have less authority than that legendary Lemon Chill Guy.
Everyone was a n00b once.
Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."
DawgByte, you're serious that you think that "picture" "proves" anything that your Mr. Fisherman told you? Wow, now that's just an alltime low. Seriously you do know what Photoshop is, right? You can see that the people riding the Intamin ride in that picture are about 3/4 of teh size of the folks on Mean Streak? You do realize that to make that turn, they'd probably take out the Mean Streak photo booth, a big chunk of the line, including the part that matters (the stairs to teh station), part of Perimeter Road and probably go into the lake?
If you don't believe this guy's story, then would you please explain why you keep telling it, keep looking for "proof" (in Photoshopped pictures no less!), and keep throwing up the "I don't believe him" defense as you once again explain how plausible this guy's (who's only credentials is that he happens to own property within 5 miles of the park) idea is.
Gah, must drag self away from this idiotic thread! This thread is like a black hole of logic and intelligent discussion ...
Personally, if it did... I'd never choose Mean Streak because nobody seems to like the ride that much anymore (I've heard the ride op ask "Riders, how was your ride" and the entire train booed!!)... and I wouldn't be surprised to see the coaster eventually see the end-of-days within the the next 10yrs.
I know exactly what Photoshop is... I'm fairly fluent in it and have created some various master pieces (some better than the good Photoshop Phryday on Something Awful.com, but not many).
I'll let the subject die if I'm the last one to let it die... all I'm saying is what I heard and transferring what transcribed between me & Earnest Hemmingway. I'm not looking for proof or even a backup to the tall tale... I just came across the popular (6+ pages) Po!ntbuzz thread & thought it kinda fit a little niche that there's others out there who think Hemmingway's story might be true (although using their own logic to come to that conclusion).
The subject WAS dying until mike.s. brought up more bashing that I had to defend m'self. If I have to keep repeating myself like a broken record, I will... but I said what I gotta say, and I may have to start copying & pasting my old posts until someone else passes along a new word or two on the overall subject of this thread.
Again, I don't think the claims themselves were really the point of contention... *** Edited 7/6/2006 3:11:40 AM UTC by matt.***
