just means buying them in bulk saved them a few dollars.

I have a funny feeling that Intamin doesn't run on the same business model as Sam's Club or Costco.

Call me crazy. :)

Attention shoppers: today's specials, 5 giga coasters for only $7.5 million. Pick up only. Also, buy 4 rockets at regular price, get the 5th one free. Delivery charges may apply outside of a 100 mile radius. Thank you for shopping Intamin Club, where low prices distract you from the fact that our products are pieces of crap.

Worked for SFI....oh, wait, no it didn't. Nevermind.... :)

HAHA I like your reactions.
Impulsive, nice I couldn't stop laughing.

I did however state that it might not be 2 of this kinda ride, 2 of that kinda ride just their next 3 or 4 coasters are Intamin made.

However I do know that still dosen't seem likely just putting my ideas out there no matter how bright they may or may not be, to hear everyones opinions. *** Edited 6/27/2006 8:21:05 PM UTC by TonyBlackjack***

Also keep in mind what Cedar Fair was building, record breakers. Although I would take almost any B&M before Itamin due to the design of B&M, Intamin is definatly more recognized for their record breaking, limit pushing coasters. If Cedar Fair wanted to have great advertising coasters and break records with them they are much more likely to get that from Intamin than any other company out there. *** Edited 6/27/2006 9:04:13 PM UTC by MAGXL200***

I agree with Tony. According to the old CP Discovery channel video, the park itself has a 5 year master plan looking toward new projects. IE What, where, landscaping, paths, crowds, etc... This is most likely being looked at and updated constantly by the higher ups.

So our possibilities are either a launched coaster like Kanonen or a record-breaking looper like Colossus? Neither seems very plausible...
Is this a record thread or something? That's a lot of pages.

Anyway, judging by what we DO know, if I had to, I would put money on either a record-breaking looper or some sort of Intamin ball coaster--Cedar Point has neither, and they do like to go for records.

Or, perhaps it could be an as-yet-unseen type of coaster. But this doesn't quite fit with how Cedar Fair likes to do things with Cedar Point--as in being the first park to test out a new coaster type. All the coasters they have are just different versions of an existing technology (yes, even Magnum).

coastin' since 1985

Ok Ninja, tell us with your infinite wisdom what exactly *does* seem plausible? We have a difinitive straight line of bulky footers at the construction site, we have extremely twisted pieces of track that can pretty much only be inline twists and corkscrew assemblies, and we have supports which have a large number of angled heads, indicating twisting track or overbanks. There are already two "speed" coasters in the park, what else in Intamin's catalogue is left?

We had another thread going for CP 2007 before this one that was quite long as well. Same topic, split thread, crazy amount of posts all the same.

What about the Holiday World '06 post? I believe that was longer than this.
I demand that Jeff drop some type of hint, riddle, or even a comment to fool us, even criticize us for this on going debate. Speak Jeff!!

You guys aren't very bright. It's obviously going to be a backwards suspended lauched looping coaster reaching heights of 600ft. and a top speed of 380mph, reaching an awsome 12g's! :)
