Cedar Fair 2003

MAF....Invertigo is Vekoma's model name for the Face-Off/Two-Face type of inverted seat boomerangs....seating hangs below the track, and you face the other riders in your "row"....

Wow, that really doesn't do them justice, they are WAY better than Boomerangs....but you get the idea....Actually the one at PGA is even named Invertigo

Swoosh, C'mon now the rennovated bathroom this year has heating and air conditioning

I appologize for not giving the due credit that it deserves. :) Maybe next year they can add automatic flushing toilets and automatic sinks.

Also have you guys seen the new sinks some parks have, they put soap on your hands then the water comes on and then after awhile it blow drys your hands. ALL IN THE SAME PLACE, isn't potty technology wonderful! Hmm maybe some day they'll have a toilet that wipes your butt for you....LOL!

I see how it is! If I remember right I did not count the new coaster's diner and new potty near Mamba in my list of expansions......Also I'm quite shocked at the admissions that VF! charges.......

I'll have you know we sit in high-backed booths and eating overpriced burgers with a la carte toppings, too (VF Coasters went up in '97 I think). And our double-sided 'Potty-topia' went up that year by the main entrance. So la-dee-da.

And I think the price hikes came from your old friend and my new neighbor Larry MacKenzie. Thanks for buying the overpriced house, my friend. Nothing like folks driving my property value up (it's increased 50% from original purchase price in '98). I wonder if he lives south of Moore Lake, too.

Just imagine....the poor man forced to listen to me bellyache about VF while he's stuck in a line at the new Target. How long before he punches me out??

(who guesses he just blew his chances for Media Day)

PS - Adventureland reasonable? I call Martin's Fantasy Land or Conneaut Lake park reasonable.

I we had to get a boomerang at Michigan's Adventure(which I hope they do not), I would prefer an Invertigo over the traditional "boomerang."
Mckenzie was never at Worlds of Fun. He's worked at VF, Cedar Point, Dorney Park, and Michigan's Adventure, but not Worlds of Fun.

What happened valleyfair I thought you were at excalibur

2002 Sixth season in VF Foods!!!!

Goku, not to worry you, but you could eventually end up with KBF's Boomerang. I would imagine that it will eventually be removed for something a little more exciting.

Or you can have our's at WOF, because we don't want it!

I'm starting out at Flume, Excalibur is in my area so I'll probably rotate over. I changed my tag as soon as I knew for sure where I was at. If you go to VF this first month make sure to wave at the guy at the top of the lift, there's a chance that it could be me :)

Flume Crew for 2002!

Wow I bet that is an "exciting" job. Do you get to do anything else but sit at the top of the hill? I would imagine that it would get quite boring after awhile. That is unless the ride becomes "Flash Mountain"....oops was that out loud?

-----------------

That would be the worst thing that could happen to Michigan's Adventure if we got a 12 year old bumpy as he!! boomerang. I canonly imagine how bumpy that ride is. I have rode a few bumpy boomerangs but I bet that one is reall bad.

Well generally the positions rotate a couple times during the day, so its not too bad. At least the lil box on top is air conditioned.

Flume Crew for 2002!

I thought that CP was going to get another coaster for 2003 just because WT (in CP terms) wasnt that expensive. I wouldnt expect a mouse though, anything but that. They probably wont put in a woodie, even though the rumor of the Intamin wood was kinda interesting. If this rumor is indeed true, this woodie is going to DP,VF!,CP,or WoF, just because MIA and KBF just recieived woodies in the past five years. If any of those parks, i would expect WoF.

Cedar Point- TA2K

Dorney Park- Flats and numerous upgrades

WoF- Intamin Woodie

VF!- B&M Invert

KBF- Flats and numerous upgrades

MIA- SS Tri-Tower (one space shot, one turbo drop, one double shot)

-----------------

The S&S tower ride seems to be the latest rumor for Michigan's Adventure, which sounds like a good possibilty. (but it might be a little to Cedar Pointish, but if they do it better be a decent size one around 230 at least)

Worlds of Fun will most likley follow the Cedar Fair trend if it continues. Which would mean a B&M invert. They did have that CCI coaster cancelled not to long ago due to attendance if I rember right.

* Cough *2001* Cough * CCI Cancelled * Cough *

Yep and remember that the other coaster that was to be added in 2000 was cancelled as well. :(

We are still looking at 2004 as "the year".

D'oh!! Why can't I shake the impression he was at WOF? Now not only is media day off, I bet my season pass won't scan properly, either.

Oh, yeah....if you hear some guy reading every sign up the lift hill that warns "You will get wet" in a very loud voice to his kids, that would be me. If being a black guy who wears the same blasted sunglasses every week that looks just like the guy on my 'info' photo doesn't help enough already, that might be your final clue. And yes, I have to do that now...it's become a rather sad tradition. Don't ask about any of the others. You don't wanna know.

I know I have been cruel to VF! through out this thread, but man I had no idea the park was this little. Check out this aerial view of the park. http://www.coastergallery.com/2000/V43.html

Also in keeping with CFLP tradition, if they DO get an inverted the taxi cars or whatever they are themed to at VF! will have to go, because the inverted always has to be near the front gate.

It seems things locked up as I was submitting this post...so let's try this again.

VF is only 89 acres and that's probably counting the acreage occupied by Excalibur and Thunder Canyon (where GP can't walk). You can stroll from the front gate to the back of the park in 10 minutes tops. On the plus side, you can wear beach socks all day without getting sore feet.

But it has still drawn crowds of roughly 30,000 on occasion. That's enough cars to fill the lot, the grassy area between the paved area and those two employee dorms and still wind up with people parking across the highway.

Of course, it's a CF park--so you still wouldn't wait more than a half-hour for a coaster on such a heavy day. But PT was a different story...

In the link that Swoosh provided, it appears as though Valleyfair has room for expansion. (?) Besides that, have any of you ever seen an arial shot of that Six Flags park in Seattle (I think it is?). Man, I've seen tinky local carnivals that are bigger. VF! appears to be much more populated with rides as well.
