Who said people at Valleyfair wanted a Wicked Twister Clone? Personally, I'd prefer something with an original layout as I like to try and get out to Cedar Point every year.
Of course my opinion one the impulse has beaten down like a dead horse on that issue, and its possible we could get a Wicket Twister clone, or a top spin, or a dark ride, or a different kind of coaster. Who knows? I know I don't.

So tell us, Swoosh Shady Show....what's the longest line you've seen for the Boomerang? An hour? Hour and a half? Two hours?

At times the Boomerang line can get up to two hours on weekends during the summer. On weekends during the spring and fall it's not unusual to see it get up to an hour. But also remember that during the spring and fall weekends there are several events going on at the park. There is always some sort of musical festival going on, so that helps add to the lines. Lines will be longest around 11-4 or so and then taper off as they leave.

Well it sure seems like -Playa is wanting one awfully badly.

Yep, he's gonna be very bored all weekend. Will his rides even be open? And if they are who would go on them. I'm just hoping that with the terrible weather, most people will stay home on Saturday.

You could always use my WOF one if you want ;) They wouldn't mind....hopefully the clouds won't flood the earth this weekend, I have quite a few graduations I have to attend (college), and the distances between them are not too short.
Plus I was hoping to take a few laps on Mamba, but with the weather the way it is, I think I will pass this weekend at least.

I was surprised that Valleyfair's web site is pink. Gotta love the new color ;). I would probably chosen a different color than pink maybe red or blue.
This might be an idea for the future. Valleyfair should invest in a $16million dollar capital expansion. The impulse sounds like a good idea for 2003 and then maybe in 2004 get a huss top spin or some type of flat ride and in 2005 they could get a nice sized $12milllion dollar B&M inverted coaster. Does this sound like a idea?

Not really. But I was saying that lower-capacity rides aren't out of the question for the smaller parks. I was also saying WT might be a better strategic choice for WOF than a product remarkably similar to coasters standing for years at their competitor's parks.
WKTSWAY...I think that was the last Saturday of August '00. WT was down for some time in the late morning/early afternoon while they were getting train #3 on board (or so I heard). The PT line stretched to the Dodgem and then some after the Fireworks show. Was that the day? BTW, who the heck are you?

Also remember though, that SFStL is in the process of planning for a hypercoaster. Isn't that pretty much the same boat?

i know its no biggie but i did a double take... bumpercars!!!... i thought you were talking about CP... and he/she is a employee at corkscrew @ VF... and to a earlier statement C'Playa made...we dont go over the 15k presold limit... because that leaves room for the good any day passes and if the weather is nice alot of peeps that just stop by out of the blue and ride rides... i dont belive they would allow it to get to 28k... i very highly doubt it but i know you are pretty good with the numbers from VF and other various parks but lastyear i know we did not go higher than 15k in presolds... i'll check when i work this weekend to see if i can find that info... i know the day you were talking about... i was working that afternoon... drive down 169 by housing and saw a sea of cars... and then i got into work and it was packed as heck... peace

Er, didn't Dorney just open Talon? A B&M inverted coaster with four inversions -- the *exact* same inversions as on Great Bear, which is no more than an hour-and-a-half to the West?
Didn't Cedar Point just open Wicked Twister, and Intamin Impulse coaster when there was one a lil' smaller 1.5hrs to the East?
Cedar Fair has done this before, it wouldn't shock me. :)
