CBuzz Games...

Wow, This is great! I haven't been very active on the site for a rather long time, for most of the reasons already discussed. I guess I'll have to squeeze more rct2 time, in between work and my return to school, so I can become more active again.
i would just like to de-nominate myself from that "group of moderators" although im sure jeff would love to have me :)
Jeff, if you haven't realized by now, the idea's bombing -_-

The only condition in which you'd actually want to keep this up is if you want money, in which I'd have to say you're one very sad and selfish man. You're loosing as much good members as bad. Discussing coasters with 4 members isn't going to be a blast. -_-

I've read before that the CB moderators are not individuals who were nominated by other posters or who volunteered for the duty. They were appproached by the site administration.

I count 5 who've posted in this thread that say they have a problem with it. Not exactly an overwhelming failure.

If you haven't noticed, the games section is a deserted waste land.

Maybe after a few days more people will join, but if a week goes bye and we still have very few members, just take of the restriciton dude.

how clever! your sarcasm really makes me want to respect you... jackass (and you wonder why i hate coasterbuzz so much... maybe you dont). anyways, im done with this, its not going anywhere nor is it going to change anything

Are you serious? It was just a joke. I really have no feelings on the situation, and I was just trying to take a break from the arguments.

Who thinks he will change his Screen-name because it seems people find it too nOOb-ish.jeez, look at the post count.

I just want to see the crap go away.

Isn't that what the handle is for on the back of the toilet? :)

Anyway the way people are reacting you would think Jeff is planning on destroying the word if people don't give him $20!

If your CB Games is this imprortant to some of you whats the big deal about just sending the $20. If you don't have it, beg for money, recycle cans, get a paper route, play music on the street for tips. Doing any of them you should be able to get $20 in no time! Afterall it isn't just for the Games section. You do get a year of pop up free CoasterBuzz, up date your track record, and use the membership for coaster events at parks across the country!

I'm just glad Coasterbuzz doesn't have sound! I'd hate to hear all this whining! It's bad enough reading it!

You know what... it doesn't matter if the site does bomb. You guys don't really get it. You're right... I am selfish. I'm selfish not because I want money, but because I want to run a site where humans communicate in an adult manner. If that ends up being five people, so be it.

Maybe it is about me after all.

What time does the water show start?

It hasn't even been 24 hours yet and you feel you can claim that the idea is bombing?

I'm thrilled perhaps now if i share a track on the site it won't be pushed to oblivion, by bulk postings from others, before anyone has a chance to offer insight into the design and/or theming.

Kudos to you Jeff!! I for one think you've definitely done the right thing.

Jeff......I respect you!

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes, that way if they get upset with you, they'll be that much further away from you with no shoes.

Wow Cernelli, you're a class A reader, huh? I said maybe it'll take a few days for members to join. -_-
You can't quite decide what to think, can you? First, you chide your cohorts for not shelling out the $20. Then, you point out that this idea is "bombing". Now, you're pointing out that it might take a few days for members to join.
Obviously you didn't get my post, but that's cool. You can speculate all you want about me.

First, I thought it was a good idea.

Then the site turned into a deserted wasteland

Now I think it's a bad idea.

Can't get that? Tough.

Deano and BB_DG, chill the hell out. I think this is a bad idea too, but you two are gonna kill yourselves over it. 0_o

Ironic, to say the least.

Gah sorry Jeff, I got other things going on right now. Not in the best of moods.

And dude, you don't get it. I liked this idea when it started. Read my first few posts. But then I had 10 members IMing me saying how they can pay, and BB_DG, my second favor designer, and Deano, an awesome designer can't join, so my view changed. The point I'm making is, the sites really missing some great members.

Sorry if I've been a jerk. :-/

I think you guys are measuring "success" as quantity rather than quality. I'd rather see 5 new great files a week accompanied by human conversation and no lowballing of ratings than 20 new files a day and the crap that comes with it.

I don't claim to know what Jeff is thinking, but it sounds to me like a site with 10 participating members acting in a way that is enjoyable for all involved would be much more of a "success" than what CB Games was the past few months.

Got to agree - I think the whole point of including the games area as part of club membership is being missed here.

Good thing you haven't told them about that "special exchange" area, Jeff. Password protected, secret URL, invite only - where all the really good files go. The 6 of us allowed in there have been having the time of our lives. ;)

Too much speculations going on around here (me included). Let's just let this play itself out people. :)
Well now that everyone has blasted Jeff for doing what he felt he had to in order to get people to type the way he wants, I'd like to remind you all that this was Teknoscorpion's dumb ass idea. Maybe you should redirect your blasting.

Secondly volunteering people to be mods because they make better rides/creations than others is really opening a can of worms because your uploads will now have to meet their standards. I like to think I do good work but I'm no Gonchar. Besides one of the things that made the game section great was the ability to help designers along in their development. The best ride developers may not be the judge of what is crap and what is a rookie learning the ropes. Crap doesn't seem to be the reason for this anyway. It's the typing and *****ing that is the reason I think Jeff changed it.

I may soon join the club but I am wary because I have only been able to upload rides recently with the exception of a few small file parks. I have been working on larger file parks that I'd like to share but even though they are under the Mb limit they still won't go thru. Jeff, you have said the problem is probably on my end and you may be right but if it were I don't think I would be able to get anything uploaded. The problem seems to be with parks that include the new custom flat rides and an abundance of custom scenery which jacks up the file size.
