Best Headchoppers...

I've never ridden it, but from the looks of Robb's European Coaster video, Magnum Force in Flamingo Land in England seems to have insane headchoppers. I was ducking just watching the video. I couldn't believe the guy in front of the camera kept his hands up the entire time.

Here's a good picture - look at the track that runs under the supports: http://rcdb.com/installationgallery825.htm?Picture=6

I can't decide is it BGW or SDC/CC.

I suggest quit posting stupid crap because this thread isn't destructive or childish.

Orient Express even used to have some headchoppers with the trees before they were cut down.

It still has head chopers. If it wasn't for the cie storm we had last year those trees would had added to the head chopers. The trees did grow back from 1999 and I hope they be back in 2003.

My favorite head chopper is Ninja at SFStL. It is really neat having the chainlift return right in your face.

The most litaral head chopper is on Fire in the Hole at SDC. You can actually touch the ceiling on some parts of the ride. I have actually heard that someone had thier head chopped on this ride.

Gemini is my 2nd favorite head chopper (the reason been mention multiple times here).

Missouri parks have some good head choppers..Ninja gotta agree on..Mamba.....Timberwolf has a few also...I will bring this up..its not a head chopper but a gut check has i like to call it.When the screamin eagle enters the load house after the ride they slam on the breaks...See a lot of people grunt in pain if your not bracing yourself.

Has anyone here ridden Rampage? I haven't heard much about it, what are the headchoppers like?

Yes it has a few good headchoppers. Few are very close but there are a couple.

Gotta go with Cornball's headchoppers after the helix.

Goliath's tunnel was good to.

Gemini-it still gets me EVERYTIME! I try to keep my hands up but I just cant

WDW Space Mountain-though its not really that low..Many forget that the clearance is like 7 ft since everyday they walk the tracks.

Serial Thriller (SFWOA)-not a big fan of the ride but there is one where is seems really close

Roadrunner Express- I know it is a kiddie ride but when I rode it a few times with my cousin those poles with the padding on it make me feel...odd

Villian-has a few good ones too

I really thought something bad was going to happen to me on Tremors. Those headchoppers are for real.

This is definitely NO joke.

Tremors is the host to the best sign ever!
Looking down into Tremors First Drop.
Tremors also has the *lowest tunnel in existance today.
*Note: After watching the footage, I was quite thankful that I'm not an inch taller!

I'm also very suprised that noone has mentioned Millennium Force and its first overbanked turn! If you look closely, you can tell that the support has a cut-out because it was so close.
I know several folks that roam these boards that have actually hit that support.... Now thats insane! So insane that before the '01 season, Cedar Point changed the support from a "normal" support to the one that you see in that still.

I think the best one is Gemini.

On Twister II at SFEG there are some really good headchopper effects. I actually hit my hands on the entrance to the tunnel one time. There are also a bunch of I-Beams throughout the ride that look like they are going to take your head off. However, those are nothing compared to some of the effects the original had.

On my post about the Mamba and OE. I failed to mention that the Zambezi Zinger had some very awesome Head Choppers. There was parts on that ride where I thought I was gonna hit some object above my head. On top of that there was no seatbelts or lapbars holding you back on the ride.

You wanna see a headchopper?

scroll down to to the first picture of Laser for a good laugh or not, it depends on how easy you laugh. i really need to shut up!lol

No headchoppers compare to those of Schwartzkopf's. His compact designs will have you ducking your head at every turn.

X....
PKD's Grizzly, as it enters the tunnel! veterans all know the best ride by FAR on tha one is in the back, plus from that vantage point you get to see everyone in front of you duck as the train dives into the tunnel, hehe.
Zonga has some pretty mean headchoppers, (doesn't have the one in the second loop anymore) and the shed on Roar is cool. The noise and shed really enhance the ride. I thought I would say something different...

...but then again, that one on Gemini amazing.

Yeah, the tunnel on Grizzly at PKD is a good one. I actually skimmed my fingers on the top part of the tunnel. Good thing I didn't have my hands up all the way.

The Beast has some great headchoppers, especially the double helix tunnel. Gemini also has good ones, and Raptor has some pretty good foot choppers!
I agree, the choppers on Mamba's oversized heliz are great.
I also liked those on Georgia Cyclone at SFOG.
And I can back up SawBlade, someone did die on Fire in the Hole at SDC.
