Any Michigan's Adventure news?

Timber-Rider starts awesome topics! Burgers, Cedar Fair's purchase of the other Ohio park, Vater's dislike of grammar and spelling mistakes. I love this!

My local Five Guys restaurant has an awesome Coke machine that give you a choice of over 100 favors! Has anyone seen a Coke dispenser like that yet? It's ridiculous, in a good way!

Doesn't Kings Island have something like that now? I know it's new this year.

Cedar Point will always be The Roller Coaster Capital of the World, regardless of the number of coasters they have.

The Freestyle machines are popping up all over Central Florida, although I have zero use for them as I don't drink pop, so I couldn't tell you if they're awesome or not.

These machine also serve 5 or ten flavors of Dasani Water, both bubbly and non-bubbly, Mike.

The Burger King near me has one of those. Of course you wouldn't know that because you're a McDonald's snob.

Tauntaun burgers. I thought they tasted bad... on the outside.

Although McDonald's is disgusting, I do eat there from time to time. I am addicted to their seasonal Shamrock shakes however. I'll stop in several times during March for the Shamrock shakes. Although I was very disappointed with the changes they made to them - much smaller cup sizes and fake whipped cream on top. Makes as much sense as painting trees in the background of the Mona Lisa. It's one the reasons that March is my favorite month of the year:

- Shamrock shakes

- NCAA basketball tournament

- Spring break, which means family scuba diving trip to a warm, sunny location

- Nearing the end of a long Minnesota winter

Oh, and the best part about Shamrock shakes, is that there is so much preservatives and food coloring in them that your poop is colored blue for the next two days. I love March.

There's one of those myriad flavor Coke brand drink shops at GAdv, not far from the entrance. I generally don't like to drink soda at parks, and since I'm diabetic, it has to be diet. So if I DO drink soda at a park, it has to be diet..and I dislike Diet Coke (plus it's bad for me in another way) Coke Zero is okay. Give me Pepsi Max everytime.

But this store was enough to make me buy a souvenir cup for this year, something I've not done before at my home park. Opening Day, I scoped out the flavors, but it was the end of the day, so I didn't get anything. Easter, the stand was closed, but I bought my cup elsewhere. Finally partook of their selection on my most recent visit May 6, finding Fanta Zero in Cherry and Fruit Punch flavors. They also have flavored Coke Zero and Powerade Zero, which I drink regularly anyway. So I was quite happy to find this little (and it IS very little) oasis.

The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

Was it frozen before you ate it? Because if so, then I'll see you in hell!

It's not often one gets to say this on coaster enthusiast forums, but...

Nerds.

Great, now I want a burger...

If you go looking for a tauntaun burger, make sure to go to a high quality joint. Otherwise you'll end up with a bun full of pink slime and intestines.

Look, your worshipfulness. Let's get this straight. I take orders from one person. Me.

It's good to see a burger point that just sells burgers. Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburgers has about 6 kinds of chicken sandwiches, not to mention wraps, nuggets, etc. Many of the "fast food" places have menu boards so vast that it's like reading War and Peace.

There's a hot dog chain in the Chicagoland area (and inexplicably, 2 California locations) that has the best burgers I've had anywhere- Portillo's. Quite a bit to choose from on their menu as well, but if you threw a dart at it and ordered whatever it lands on, you're in good shape. If I'm with people who are from out of town, this and Giordano's are what they're getting.

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

Sorry to interrupt all this talk about burgers... but I went to the park yesterday and there appears to be some clearing out behind Grand Rapids. Is this new? I don't remember seeing that last year.

That would be a McTauntaun burger on Hoth, comes with cold fries and a glass of Mc-frost. And a snow monster toy for the little ones! Hurray!! Or, maybe you would like an Walker toy instead...or a giant boob nipple gun!!

The area where Grand Rapids and Thunderhawk sits was cleared out for years before they built anything there. Curious as to where this clearing is taking place? Is it near the main walkway? Or, is it behind the Grand Rapids loading station? a lot of that clearing might have been a result of the work on Timber Town Railway.

People assumed the clearing behind the Wolverine Wildcat would lead to a connection path towards Shivering Timbers, and that has yet to happen. More than likely, it is just an access spot for trucks, that bring in supplies to the park. It could be clearing for a new attraction...lets hope that it isn't yet another water ride. behind close to Grand Rapids. It might be.
