Any Michigan's Adventure news?

The area where Grand Rapids and Thunderhawk sits was cleared out for years before they built anything there. Curious as to where this clearing is taking place? Is it near the main walkway? Or, is it behind the Grand Rapids loading station? a lot of that clearing might have been a result of the work on Timber Town Railway.

Just east of Grand Rapids. I noticed it when I was on WW. Like I said, I don't remember seeing it last year, but I may not have been as observant last year either LOL

Sorry to interrupt all this talk about burgers... but...

What do CosaterBuzzers think about Steak N Shake? I personally love it. The service is a little on the slow side most of the time, but it is YUMMY! I love the Black Bean Chilli. :p

Which reminds me of Skyline Chili, from Cincinnati. That's something I don't get a lot of, but I like it. I read that the chili's secret ingredient is cocoa powder.

I recommend a small chain in my area called Penn Station. They have a killer Philly Cheesesteak (but it's full of MSG). Local chain Gino's is know for pizza, but they have really good Philly Cheesesteaks too.

I heard somewhere that the burgers from Michigan's Adventure sucks! I hear people complain about them all the time. They need to make better burgers, or else people are going to stop eating there.

Steak n Shake isn't bad. Not amazing, but not bad for what it is. The fry/burger seasoning they provide at each table is pretty tasty.

Penn Station is awesome! A little pricy for a sub and fries, but the food is worth it.

I worked at one the summer before my senior year at high school. Haven't even considered setting foot in one again, even just for a shake. When I did eat there, the Frisco Melt was pretty good- even though it was twice the calories of a Whopper w/ cheese. Nowhere near as filling either.

A customer once ordered a taco salad. Didn't want fries, but never said anything about flies- so he got one. Deep fried right into the taco shell.

Make sure you put that on your resume, BullGuy. Did you wash your hands after you pooped when you worked there?

No- you misunderstood me. I was a waiter, not in the kitchen. I had nothing to do with food preparation. It wasn't right there for me to notice when I served the food either.

Although, I don't think this is something the people in the kitchen did maliciously.

I have been to Steak N Shake a few times. Their food is very reasonable, but, I find that no matter what you order, it seems like there is a bit too much grease in the food, and the fries are very thin and usually dry. But, the service is pretty good, and they have really great shakes. However, if there is a Culvers near by, I would most likely go there instead. Love their burgers and shakes!

On the subject of Michigan's Adventure. Someone mentioned going there this year. Any chance we could get a trip report? How's that fast lane working out. I hope they don't skimp on coaster capacity to get people to buy it. I would comment further, but, I don't want to continue to be known as a fan boy.

I usually bypass the expensive MA park food, and stock up at Burger King or McDonalds before going to the park.

I have to agree. Highly snarfable fries. Some of the best fast food has to offer.

I had to look up Snarfable, because I wanted to know if it was a real word or not. I only found the word Snarf...

Snarf - pilfer: make off with belongings of others.

So it makes sense in the context of the sentence it was used in. Snarfable should totally be a real word. It is amusing.

The Urban Dictionary has a few meanings for the word snarf as well. two of them make sense here...

What a great, new-to-me word. I'ma add it to the dictionary in my head.

I always thought it was 'scarf" when referring to eating.

A quick check shows that Urban Dictionary agrees.

And I've always assumed 'scarf' is just a language bastardization of 'Shkoff' - which itself feels like some kind of slang or language abuse.

Words are hard.

However, I am in love with Nadia G.

I bet if they added new fries to the menu, that'd get people coming in droves...

If there was a need for new fries to be added to the menu, they would've already been added...

Unless everyone is at the hotel sleeping late.

This Isn't A Hospital--It's An Insane Asylum!

I did notice when I went to MiA on tuesday that they also have preferred parking. Which I found funny since the main parking lot was about an 1/8 full, and no cars were parked in the area. It was 90 degrees, so I also felt a little sorry for the person tending the lot sitting under a little umbrella making maybe $8 an hour.
