Adds going wild

There is a web browser called Opera that you can download for free that rejects pop ups if you can't stand them. I believe certain Linux browsers like Mozilla allow you to block them also.

Thanks Chris... that's an oustanding way to introduce yourself to the community with your first post.

I don't think that was my first post to "the community", though I stand ready to be corrected. My thanks for your own unusually temperate response, however, though I must say that I don't find your unpleasantness charming in the least; I think you're a bully.

When you posted that, you had one post, and this one makes two. Sounds like your introduction to me.

I'm just curious, if you think so poorly of me, why do you visit the site? Why do you post? Why can't you stay away? The Jeff Putz Haters Club is special, but why do its members spend so much time hanging around that which they don't like?

My "financial well-being" has nothing to do with CoasterBuzz. Hell, CoasterBuzz has little to do with my life in general. But hey, flame away as if you know something about me personally. I'm used to it.

Obviously, there is something about CB that enthusiasts enjoy. If you don't care for the moderation, check out the "jackass-free" newsgroup, rec.roller-coaster.

I agree with Chris. But I will go further and say that Jeff is a moron and an ass. That's why I don't usually post on his forums. However he has created a great roller coaster site. That's why I come here. I never post here but I read the sight almost daily. I've been using pop-up stopper but there are better ones out there. Adsgone is really good. It not only gets rid of popups but banners as well.
Hmmmmm. What theorem does our new friend match closest? The Theory of Nobody? Nahhhhh. TON folks get laughed at and then they whine like babies. Must be the Assfat Corollary.

As for CBuzz being such a horrible place to be......been there, done that in the deep and pithy thread, "What has happened to CosterBuzz?" . You're a few months late. Thanks for playing, run along now.

True, 'Playa. And, in my attempt to be helpful, the "What has Happened to CoasterBuzz?" thread can be found here. Now, THAT was a classic thread... ;)

The best part is when someone who will never post his name or e-mail address shows up to crap on me. Maybe somebody needs to visit the Wiz for courage. If you're gonna call me out, at least tell us your real name like Chris.

I forgot all about the Assfat Corollary. I still like the Theory of Nobody better though.

Now just how does someone bully people with a Web site? Stuff them in a virtual locker? Hire someone to steal their lunch money?

"Now just how does someone bully people with a Web site? Stuff them in a virtual locker? Hire someone to steal their lunch money?"

They've probably already spent their lunch money on pop-up advertised casinos.

I was thinking more of using said web site -- very useful, excellent resource -- to denigrate and demean the mostly harmless kids and nerds that it attracts. Is it really necessary, for example, to throw your TOS in the face of some poor shmoe asking about crowds at Cedar Point on the glorious fourth while you and those who find your unpleasantness charming violate your own rules with insults and invective. I've seen far worse examples of dictatorial forum ownership to be sure, I still seem to have an account, but I call it bad form.

Yo bald-head granny wears camoflage Depends.

See? Now you can feel like a part of the action. Glad I could help.

No, because, nine times out of ten a moderator or myself will just delete it entirely. But you don't see that side of it, and don't appear to be interested in doing so.

Besides, it's freakin' Independence Day. Most of the country has the day off, kids are out of school and it's July. Is it that hard to figure out on your own that amusement parks will be busy? It's not my fault common sense isn't common.

I can't believe I am doing this.............

I know Jeff, I like Jeff, and you are no Jeff. Oh, we aren't talking about Peabody?

The Putz-man is the shist, and the shiznit, and any other Ebonics slang I can get away with. When you can't see the twinkle in the eye, or the wink you would get if you were talking in person, it awfully hard to tell who's the bigger A-hole. That said, and fanboys aside, the P man is cool, and a lot nicer than I would have ever imagined. So suck me.

I haven't given any indication of interest or otherwise, though I'd have to say it would be irrelevant. We can't see what goes on "behind the scenes", only what you choose to show us via your own posts in your forums. And, since this was originally about your difficulties with people using ad circumventing software or choosing not to register (a legitimate if poorly-worded gripe) surely you must concede that you might be able to catch more of this particular fly with honey, than with vinegar.

Of course this also applies to me, as I jumped in the word "jackasses", so I might not recognise the point in your shoes. I would appreciate the chorus, though, even if I might prefer one that spoke English. What are camouflage Depends, and what's a shist?

Besides, it's freakin' Independence Day.

Alas, that was just a random example. It wasn't until my wife pointed out to me that there actually was a thread about Cedar Point's crowds on Independence Day that I realised it might appear I was referencing some specific article. "I read through that whole thread and didn't see Jeff Putz say anything!" She said, which was kinda funny.

Didn't I say Assfat? Told ya. Definite Assfat kinda guy.

And no, you can't sit at our table. We're gonna all look down our noses at you and make little jokes you can't even understand. Go way now. Shoo shoo. Go eat lunch with 'Moosh.

Then take it back. ;)

The reality of most of us is that we are fun loving, and like to pick at those who are new. It isn't bastard syndrome, but merely mocking those that apparently don't quite have it all together when they write their initial post. That said, when I first arrived at the shores of Coasterbuzz, I was promptly welcomed with a closed thread because I shirked the rules. It wasn't appropriate that I didn't read the TOS, and I went back and did it. It is not my site, so better or worse, you have to play by the rules of the particular webmaster/webmistresses. It's the way it is, my friend. Enjoy what we have, or don't. Either way, the reality is nobody really cares. We just like our pancakes.

No mention of pancakes until page two. How long does it take to get to Seattle, Rob? Was glad to hear you have indoor plumbing. :)

Uh, it takes about 5 hours flight time from Columbus, where the tickets are much cheaper. ;)

As far as Seattle goes, yes there is plumbing, and even a sewer system, but where I live you still gotta pee in a hole in the woods.

Would you like some syrup? CPnut wants to know.

The only *n00bs* (TM-Den) that I pick on are those who come armed with their own persecution complex....please don't bring one to the campfire, and I won't be forced to pick on you...;)
