SFFT... Batman the Ride? Seriously?

^Funny that, since the park already has *a* B:TR ride...although it's named Goliath, it is one of the clones...

I thought the Rockville area was cool. I hope they don't destroy it for Gotham City.

More parks need to follow La Ronde's example. We need more season-long haunts.

Definitely seems like the Year of The Man in Black (that's Johnny Cash, kids).

We fell into several burning Rings of Fire...really strange to see these things making such a strong comeback. I guess after everyone in CF got flying skooters, SF felt like they needed "throwback rides" to keep up... ;~P

Quote from video: "Magic Mountain was voted best amusement park in the country in a USA Today readers poll." The enthusiast in me hates how they got it while the marketing idiot in me loves it. I do like the "Starting Lineup" announcement since I'm a sports fan.

The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

At least they are the larger park-models. They are a bit taller, and less "carnival-y"

Brilliant move opening an old carnival ride and calling it a coaster. Ring of Fire rides are nothing like a coaster. They are fun for what they are though. Great marketing idea.

The Iron Horse Hybrid coasters look awesome! Colossus looks like it may be considered one of the best new coasters of all time.

I do think they should have said in the announcement somewhere that the new rides will open "sometime in 2015" though. The carnival rides shouldn't be too much trouble to install.

Edited to fix my year mistake, because it is important for the joke to work.

Why would the rides for next year open this year?

Four parks getting Larson Fireballs? That would be hilarious.

Correction: is hilarious. Doubly so that one of them is going to SFA.

I'm actually with Travis on this. I do enjoy my time at Six Flags parks, I really do, but they're starting to seem a bit Burke-ish again. If you're throwing in Larson Fireballs just to make sure every park gets something, shouldn't you just save the money and build something really special down the road? I'm digging the Wicked Cyclone, which looks to be one of the most spectacular RMC transformations yet, but these Larson Fireball installations jut seem pointless to me.

Maybe it's more that they're marketing them as coasters, though. ;)

I swear. People complain about not enough flats but when the company adds flats, they complain about it not being the right flats.

I think they are actually "Giant Loop" models, and Larson markets them as roller coasters, as well.

You can call a molehill a mountain, but the air still doesn't get any thinner when you get on top.

I'm just saying. Larson markets it as a roller coaster, just like Zamperla markets the disk-o coasters , too. I tend to think the Disk-O coasters are more coasters than these, though.

At least some parks are getting Fireballs, Great America's only getting a celebration :)

The coaster/non-coaster debate will go on, I'm sure.

I like that they've brought back the original Marriott's logo for the 40th anniversary logo.

I really like what Six Flags Great America is doing for their anniversary. I think it's always cool to see celebrations of that nature.
