The 2015 announcement season has officially begun...

I'm excited to buy soft serve ice cream that matches the track colors.

(Seriously though I like the lime + teal scheme.)

The Fury Logo is the deal unless the park has intentionally reversed the color scheme somehow. I kind of question everything now after the Bat webpage leak with KI last year.

And... I'm not trying to start anything. I just want my intentions to be perfectly clear that I intend no negativity in my post. I'm trying really hard to represent myself as positive as possible. :D

SF Great America promises a "big announcement" on August 28th. They claim its going to be "awesome".

Wonder what they've got up their sleeve?

[IMG]^All the SFs parks have that same announcement posted on their websites.

I like the Fury logo, but dislike the number in the name. So, I'm still pulling for Centurion as the official name.

Yeah, but SFGAm just got an RMC woodie, so unless they're converting American Eagle into Iron Eagle, I don't think that's it.

I would embed this picture of the leaked Centurion site if I knew how, but for know here's the link.

With the way the whole Bat website went last year, can we expect the giga to be named Fury 325, and some other ride to be renamed Centurion? Better yet, bring back Flying Super Saturator as Centurion. :-)

Remember that whole conversation about sports team tie-ins?

Logo, team colors, track colors, etc...

Rumor has it Michigan's Adventure is putting a surf dog type coaster where falling star was. Don't know if it's a surf dog, but the same thing CP built this year.

This isn't tied in with the Charlotte hornets. It's green, white, and teal. And the logos are different.

The Hornets and this share the history of Charlotte being called the Hornets nest. This ain't themed to the hornets team.

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

Got it... Thanks. I just noticed that the logos were very similar in style. Didn't know that about the city, not being from the area. Either way, the logo is cool, but I'm guessing that the similarity is not a coincidence. And why not? you get a very loose tie-in without having to pay the royalties. Win win.

It seems someone screwed up at sf and had web pages up for their new attractions for 2015.It said 4 parks are receiving Larson Fireball loopers, and 2 are getting dark rides. Only 3 parks are getting a coaster with 2 being rmc makeovers. Only sfft is getting a brand new coaster.

Four parks getting Larson Fireballs? That would be hilarious.

Sfog, sfa, sfdk and gradv are getting the loopers, sf stlouis and sfot getting dark rides. Sfne and sfmm rmc makeovers and sfft new coaster S&S 4D.

Someone on FB posted the same pic as gamerguy above, with the caption "RMC is ruining another great ride."

Seriously.

I'm kind of a nostalgist/traditionalist type myself, but I'm never (NEVER!) going to complain when a somewhat-mediocre ride becomes a world-class ride. I love well-maintained traditional wooden coasters more than Cartman likes Cheesy Poofs, but my too-limited experience with RMC has been overwhelmingly positive...and I'm hoping to exponentially increase my personal RMC portfolio next year.

I can only hope they're at least the "Park Model" version - the 22m "Mega Loop" because seeing a trailer-mounted ride with support cables and everything just plunked down on the midway somewhere, would be really awful.

Coaster.net is reporting the names of the rides for Six Flags 2015. Here they are:
Over Georgia - Jokers Chaos
White Water - Dive Bomber
Over Texas - Battle for Metropolis
Great America - 40 Seasons
Great Escape - Buccaneer Beach
Magic Mountain - Twisted Colossus
New England - Wicked Cyclone
Great Adventure - Looping Dragon
Fiesta Texas - Batman the Ride
Discovery Kingdom - Dare Devil Chaos
St. Louis - Battle for Metropolis
America - Bourbon Street Fireball
La Ronde - Maison Rouge
Mexico - Sky Screamer
