It's obvious from your response that my comment about Rosa Parks went over your head.

Back to the topic and back to the subject, this has brought national attention to the issue of gay marriage.

No, it has made a mockery of it.

No, sorry, you don't get to act like a dick and then use the 'on topic' button when two people call you out.

No, national attention has been riveted to the subject of gay marriage for more than a year, at least since Joe Biden publicly leapfrogged the Obama administration's stance on the issue--and (unwittingly or very, very knowingly) accelerated mainstream acceptance by five years or more. All this errantly targeted campaign did was produce a sound and a fury that had nothing to do with Cedar Point.

^then why has it generated 18 pages of forum on COASTERbuzz? I'm surprised this thread hasn't been nuked yet. 99% of this has turned into the same 15 people going back and forth on something completely irrelevant to coasterbuzz. No one is going to read this whole thing! Are you guys trying to break the record for longest non roller coaster related thread(most of the thread at least) ever on coasterbuzz? I think that belongs to the 2004 elections. Yes I realize I don't have to click on the topic, but I thought someone should wake you guys up. Your usually not so harsh on each other. Oh well..I'm sure this post will be buried in gay and anti gay posts in no time.

How is that discrimination? If I walk into McDonald's and buy a burger and fries off the dollar menu, am I being discriminated against by those who choose to order a Bacon Habanero Ranch Quarter Pounder and a large fry?

Eric, if this thread has 15 people going back and forth, that's actually pretty good. Usually it's four or five. ;)

Some of us are going back-and-forth. Others are merely back-and-forth curious...

I hear that McDonald's is going to start an exciting new pricing plan! For a substantial fee, on top of the normal prices that they charge now, you can get what you used to get for normal price. The normal price just includes what ever scraps fall onto the floor, if any at all. :P

Yeah, welcome to Coasterbuzz. If you think this circular argument is bad, start talking about hotels.

On Page 6, I said "this thread is still around and doesn't need to be locked." Times have changed - it's not going to devolve into "gay and anti-gay posts."

Where the discussion has turned is in the methodologies chosen, what roads we take, in moving forward.

The turning point has passed. That doesn't mean there won't be skirmishes.

The fact that homosexuality has increased a lot recently brings the end times to my attention. As I've said earlier, the Bible has predicted that several things will happen before the rapture. Rise in homosexuality is one of them. That has happened along with many other things.

I think Christians should be more blunt. Our job is not to fit in. Our job is to spread the word about Jesus, but frankly, Christians are too worried about offending others. Offending someone is not the least of my worries when I've had my little religion rants. If one person accepted Jesus because of me, and every one of you got completely ticked off at me, it was a necessity for my words that were spoken. Christians sharing the gospel should not care about offending gays, people of different political values, and especially people of different religions. If they offend someone because. Of different skin color, that's bad.

Cedar Point is a non Christian business, so all in good time they will conform to the bad direction this world is going in. I guarantee it.

This is my last two cents about the situation. How has this topic survived?

Would you go ahead and rapture your way off this forum already?

I wish the rapture would come already. I guess God has more work to be done on earth.

I'm not even going to try to be cute or clever about stating it: I thoroughly dislike Tyler Boes and everything he believes.

Tyler, it's hard to quantify all the ways your post is misguided and wrong. You have a tremendous amount of maturing to do.

Tyler even though I believe you are "trying" to speak honestly about how your "feeling", that was incredibly bad timing with the topic of religion along with everything else in your post.

So you are disliking me because of my religious beliefs?

That is unAmerican and much worse than racism. Guess what? I don't care. Sharing my thoughts was not noise, but I'm just worried that right after you die you will regret not listening to a "stupid Christian".
