Intamin supports similar to I305 on site in a blue color. I was hoping for an Intamin all along, so I'm happy. Just hoping that they install similar restraints to Intimidator on the trains.
This is the earliest that supports have been on site at the park that I can remember. When I took pictures of Storm Runner construction the park had gotten the supports on site in August the season before opening. They could have a good part of the coaster assembled before the end of the season.
With parts on site I'd imagine that an announcement should be coming soon.
The mega-lite standard model looks (and has been reviewed as being) awesome. If it's low to the ground going back and forth like I-305, I'm not all that excited.
As Jeff said, the problem with enthusiasts is that we're airtime whores.
Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

I prefer to think of myself as an airtime floozy.
Now THERE'S a word I ain't heard..or seen..in a while.
The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

Story in the Patriot News yesterday regarding project 2012, future park expansion, and expanding the monorail track. Sounds like it could be a while, but the additional land is needed to keep expanding.
IF the latest article is true and if a chance at a good size land acquisition is in the future, part of me wishes that this new coaster would be held off for a few years... I would hate to see them go "short" with it because of the current land situation just go put it in quick.... kind of like they did with Boardwalk.
