Mechanics aside, (I'm a programmer not an engineer) I don't think it had anything to do with the ride... It was more likely due to Maintenance complaining about all the floating vomit which would have been collected in the pond water underneath it.
Then again, if Dick had shelled out some coin and got Walter and Claude to design it, this thread wouldn't have any humor in it.

Right because the ride wouldn't exist. It would have a chain lift and no second launch. :P
On-topic though, I am really interested to see what exactly happens with this ride. So far the two videos have no inversions and are just full speed it seems like. I hope that this doesn't turn into an extremely long coaster that just bobs and weaves through the park, and needs the multiple launches just so that it can complete the course.
I've always been a proponent of high speed, low to the ground twists and turns (Voyage's return track, for instance), but this is starting to look a bit too repetitive. Hopefully it manages some tighter turns and more unique elements along the way. I am hoping for no inversions to avoid OTSRs.
