From BGT's Facebook - go here: http://www.buschgardens2011.com/

Type in the secret code of "CHASE" into the upper-left box for Clip 1. Terrain, speed, yummm!

Overhead layout pics have leaked on the internet. It's going to be a pretty long ride. Looking good so far!

Very nice! Can't wait to see more. I'm glad to see that the buyout is not affecting any future ride plans in the parks.

Certain victory.

Liked it better when it was called Maverick

I dunno, BGT would probably theme it better (or at least finish the theming) if they were building a Maverick Clone.

Maybe it will have a heartline roll.

Hopefully it doesn't just race along the ground the whole time. What has been shown so far looks sweet, but it will get old quick if it doesn't do anything else.

Ha! Maverick doesn't do that. That's the kind of "anything else" I'm hoping for, except without the painful neck jabs.

If it does - I wonder if Sandor is trying to recycle the abomination of the one he used on Mehverick.

Well, we don't really know it was that bad. Hard on the train/wheels, yes. But I don't think we've ever heard a first person public report on the heartline (which would only have been ridden by Intaride and possibly CP/CF personnel) to say what it was like.

Gonch - I have to say that deeply hurts, and I'm emotionally crushed...

;-)

Ensign Smith -
Mechanics aside, (I'm a programmer not an engineer) I don't think it had anything to do with the ride... It was more likely due to Maintenance complaining about all the floating vomit which would have been collected in the pond water underneath it.

Then again, if Dick had shelled out some coin and got Walter and Claude to design it, this thread wouldn't have any humor in it.

But by your signature isn't implied that you are not Gonch's (or anyone else's) friend? Seems only right that he declare you not his friend:)

Second keyword is RUSH if anyone's interested.

Right because the ride wouldn't exist. It would have a chain lift and no second launch. :P

On-topic though, I am really interested to see what exactly happens with this ride. So far the two videos have no inversions and are just full speed it seems like. I hope that this doesn't turn into an extremely long coaster that just bobs and weaves through the park, and needs the multiple launches just so that it can complete the course.

I've always been a proponent of high speed, low to the ground twists and turns (Voyage's return track, for instance), but this is starting to look a bit too repetitive. Hopefully it manages some tighter turns and more unique elements along the way. I am hoping for no inversions to avoid OTSRs.
