Don Helbig said in a video interview from KIExtreme.com that the "Ride Sally Ride" sign was supposed to "paint a picture of a western theme" and that "there were really no other names under consideration".

Is he full of it or is it a sincerely honest answer?

Edit: Wow, I really don't think what I said was that ridiculous. I thought it was an odd choice of color, considering the similarity. I'm sorry that that was enough to get people cracking jokes about me. *** Edited 8/9/2008 7:38:22 AM UTC by TayTay***
Maybe CF has a bunch of left over paint that's about to expire! "Here, B&M Fabricating Plant, we'd like you to use this up if you can. No, no... half and half is fine... whatever." :)
Just an idea that I could or could not take too seriously.

Knott's Silver Bullet has a different support and track color scheme on the lift & station than elswhere on the ride. See here.
I was at KD way early in the season this year, and they were still constructing/painting Dominator so I wasn't aware.
Maybe it's a new CF signature!
Thanks, friends!
